After posting here about my experience with Norton's Antivirus I was informed via one of their "untended" email accounts that they were cancelling my subscription. I requested a pro-rata refund but the same email address is once again an "untended" email. Please be very careful when renewing your Norton's subscription.

Be careful when using this product. It caused major problems with my laptop and had to be uninstalled by professionals to get my laptop to work. As soon as the Norton's was removed my laptop was back to normal. Despite trying several ways to contact Norton's I have had no response.

They auto renew your plan out of theβ¦ They auto renew your plan out of the blue more than a month before it expire. 17h30 on a Friday afternoon. Product work great, but their aggressive marketing and trying to get you to buy extras all the time, coupled with this sneaky way of taking money directly from your account was a eye opener. Would not trust them with my banking details again! O yes, and when you request a refund, they first try to sell you half price subscription, then free add onβs, then if you persist, they tell you refund will take 7-15 days!

I am so π‘. They debit my account TWO MONTHs before my account should be renewed, i cancelled and then they deduct 699!!!! When the same standard plan is 399, and when i try to cancel, they want to offer me 20% on the ALREADY overpriced, NOT APPROVED higher amount, and when i still decline, they offer me 40% more! I am so frustrated, you cannot get through to a human, only chat bots! And to get into your account! Slows down my computer incredibly and keeps popping up with suggestions and more. WHY DEDUCT 2 MONTHS AHEAD OF RENEWAL, 40%MORE THAN THE STANDARD RATE! You would think that they would consider the customers that have been with them for a longer period. It is dishonest. π‘π‘

Subject: URGENT: Unauthorised Transactions and Possible ***** Linked to Norton Subscription Dear [NortonLifeLock / Bank Name / MTN Customer Care], I am writing to formally report a serious issue regarding unauthorised deductions and the misuse of my personal and banking information. My email address associated with the activity is: sello.mets63@gmail.com Over the past two weeks, I have noticed R3 being deducted from my bank account multiple times a day without my knowledge or consent. These charges appear to be linked to a Norton Mobile Security (Norton360: Virus Scanner & VPN) subscription, which I did not knowingly activate. Here are the key issues: I attempted to recover my Norton account username, but never received an email, despite multiple attempts. The app/service lists MTN as the primary payment method, and two of my bank cards (ending in 6094 and 5069) are also listed β without my authorisation. All listed payment methods have been declined, but unauthorised charges continue. I was advised to "back up using my service provider" (MTN), which seems highly suspicious and potentially part of a ****. This situation suggests a possible security breach, and I suspect my personal and banking information has been compromised. I am requesting the following actions: Immediate cancellation of any active subscriptions associated with my email or name. A full investigation into how my payment details were obtained and used. A refund of all unauthorised charges. Blocking all future charges to my account from this service. Confirmation that my account and personal data have been secured and are no longer vulnerable. Please treat this matter with the utmost urgency, as it is affecting my financial security and peace of mind

They have no after sales service. You phone them and get stuck with a computer generated voice that gets you nowhere. You go around in circles and it's impossible to speak to an agent. No email address to send communication to to get assistance. THE WORST COMPUTER ANTI VIRUS PROGRAM I HAVE EVER BOUGHT. Do not make the same mistake I did. Pass is by and buy something reliable and customer friendly
