Bad Coffee
Today, Olives and Plates at Supersport Broadcast get a 1. The coffee is bitter and tasting off, its been like this for a couple days and could not understand it Here's a tip: If you don't clean your barista machine, your coffee will taste bitter, stale, metallic, and just plain "off" due to rancid coffee oils, mineral buildup (limescale), and old coffee grounds mixing in, creating unpleasant flavors and potentially harboring bacteria while also damaging the machine's function. Expect a burnt, acrid taste that's sharp and unbalanced, not rich and flavorful.

Today, Olives and Plates at Supersport Broadcast get a 1. Aloof and Disengaged Staff
I like the food at Olives and Plates. I feel though that the staff are either poorly trained in client relations or over worked. Some days you're the best customer, other days you're treated like a complete stranger. So today my experience was well below satisfactory and satisfactory is also not good enough. Especially for the owners of such a well established restaurant who pridebthemselves on excellence. Today we have the B or C team on shift.. The location is the broadbuilding at supersports

I like the food at Olives and Plates. I feel though that the staff are either poorly trained in client relations or over worked. Some days you're the best customer, other days you're treated like a complete stranger. So today my experience was well below satisfactory and satisfactory is also not good enough. Especially for the owners of such a well established restaurant who pridebthemselves on excellence. Today we have the B or C team on shift.. The location is the broadbuilding at supersports

Sloppy and disappointed
This place is organised chaos. We went there for breakfast and after 40 min our food didn't arrive. I asked the waitresses where the breakfast was and I could immediately see she had forgot to place the order! So I called the manager to complain. He said they were very busy with the "big" tables. So that obviously means a table for 2 is not important?? In the meantime, people who arrived after us had already finished eating! Needless to say, the food never arrived so we just left. So I recommend that you skip this sloppy place. You will only be disappointed, angry and hungry.

Olives & Plates- Hyde Park
Good day I am not one to take to HelloPeter to write a review. I am however unsatisfied with the service I recently experienced at Olives & Plates- Hyde Park this past Friday. First it was the lipstick stain on my clearly unwashed cup. I unfortunately noticed this a few sips in and notified the manager- the waiter was nonchalant and unhelpful from the get go. I follow a plant based diet and notified the waiter about this at the top of the conversation. A few bites into my meal, I noticed melted cheese at the bottom of my plate. I notified the manager again, watched him go ask the chef who happened to be in plain sight why there was cheese on the plate. The chef informed the manager that it was cauliflower. It was not. This was the second incident. Not only were the other waiters laughing and clearly unbothered, the overall service was quite underwhelming- lacklustre on the part of the waiter and the individuals who should have made the space and experience comfortable and enjoyable. I will not be spending another dime at this establishment. Cleanliness, respect and my health are not worth compromising for a subpar experience. Thank you.

Appalling treatment towards customers
I booked a table for 12 people for yesterday 14:00 at olives and plates the Luna club, to celebrate my friends birthday and I must say I was appalled by the treatment we got at the restaurant. Yes I will acknowledge that we got there an hour late but that was not grounds to basically kick us out. We were told to be out by 5 because it was a lunch booking and that the table was reserved for dinner. How are we to come to a restaurant to celebrate a birthday and have time estimated for us. That we had only 3 hours to eat, drink then go. As we are that how much of a busy restaurant it is. I’ve never heard of a restaurant having a cut off time. I was not even informed about it at all. I was not informed that a booking of a certain time has a time limit/estimation and that I should be out at a certain time. The manager himself was rude. That whole ordeal was embarrassing. And funny enough there were people on the other tables that came before us, that didn’t even have what was done to us done to them. I wonder what it is that brought on such behaviour towards us. I am highly disappointed at the level of respect and attitude your staff has towards customers, paying customers at that. We booked a table to come dine, we didn’t ask for a favor nor were we looking to dine for free for them to treat us like that. Absolutely disgusting behaviour!!!

No parking at Waterfall
Waterfall City branch On Saturday 04/05/2024 we went to the restaurant but upon arrival the attendant told us that there is no parking , its full we need to park at The Mall of Africa and catch the transport there. Who on earth would do that, this is not the only restaurant in Joburg. We then left never to come back again in case of the same scenario.
