After nearly 3 yrs of zero claims, I tried claiming for my bakkies broken ignition keys(R10000), the remotes rubber buttons had perished due to wear and tear. I was asked to fill in the required details with pics, which I did. But the emails kept coming- where did it happen, on which date, why did they break.I am a busy person with limited time and don't appreciate their claims process as they are the middle man between yourself and the insurers so instead of speaking to one person, you are always been sent questions from another which has been sent from another.I decided to rather cancel as I was used to a faultless easy claim process in the past with previous companies, and not being faced with lots of stupid questions, which in my opinion were just a smoke haze to not pay.Turns out it was the best decision in a long time.My new insurance company is bigger better and much more professional, many many more benefits for R1000+ less per months Unfortunately I took the bad advice of a colleague and ultimately 'Paid the price' Judging by the reviews, it seems like these little mickey mouse places just want to suck you dry and won't pay ANYONE out in a hurry if 'Their Insurers' can get away with it.Stay away-You HAVE been warned.

If there was an option of no stars, I would choose that instead. As per some of the other reviews of this company, I can vouch for the fact that they do not respond and tend to ignore you unless you threaten them with legal action. Poor service.

my Husband Was hijacked in Janauary. He did the police report and got the quotes needed and has sent them off the first week in Janaury after the hijacking. We are no after the 14thFebruary and i am still waiting for feedback on my claim. The investigator has demanded that my husband meet him at the place of crime. expect him to take off work NOPAY becasue they cannot and will not accomodate customers because they are contracted out? HOW IS THAT MY PROBLEM. I sent an email on the website awaiting a return phonecall... i am still waiting? I have requested the broker to give details ad well no details given. Is it all state secret? I am appualed at the firstly how they contract out and expect customer to jump to the investigators tune and they dont seem to accomodate the customer. The assesor also expected and my did husband drive all the way to where the assesor needed him to be? Since when do the customer have to drive to accomdate the assesor and or the insurance company? I have NEVER heard of this BULL**** in all my life and most def so imcompetant. WHY do we pay the insurance prem? why do we have claim procesures in place...... incompetance at it very ****en best!!!!! DIGUSTING SERVICE!

I'm absolutely shocked at the terrible way this company deals with insurance claims. They often need to be chased numerous times before bothering to respond to an email, have kept me chasing them for five months, promise to put the claim through (pending their client's payment of the excess) and then refuse to process the claim.

This is ridiculous! The way these people deal with claims is a joke.

Endless problems with third party Claim. Person handling the claim was Tarryn De Villiers. She had a bad attitude and acted as if I was responsible for the accident and not their client. Struggled to get hold of her numerous times, left voicemails and send emails but Mrs De Villers never came back to me. At one stage she even referred me to a Fortune Sithole that was said not to be working for Omnicover any more. When I reacted towards mrs De Villiers due to the bad service I got red flagged and the manager Sarika stood up for her employee and kept saying the manner which I spoke to mrs De Villiers was wrong forgetting what lead me to that point. After all the problems the money that got paid out was less than what the damages cost. Only 85% of the claim was paid out. Mrs De Villiers explained that the assessor spoke to the panel beater and the prices of parts were altered. Omnicover was dishonest and never spoke to the panel beater and the rest of the money had to come out of my own pocket. Very disappointed in the terrible service received from this company.

on the 1st of September 2015, my husband was involved in an accident with one of their client, then the client admitted and luckily traffic officers were around to see the accident from before it happened until the end, they tried to stop Tarryn's client but was in a high speed and could not stop then he collided into our car. the claim was moved from one person to the next sending different assessors to view the car then they said we must submit quotes and additional documents which we did but to our surprise yesterday after 2months of waiting they then send an email saying they will only pay 60% of the claim as per their assessor and panel beater, however that will not put us in the position we were before the accident then the lady (Tarryn said the rest will be from our pocket and she even said it's our fault because we are not insured ) I mean really now we are not wrong their client is the one at fault I don't understand and worse part is we asked for the details of the panel beater who gave them that quote they never responded. this is not acceptable and we refuse to be treated badly for something that is not our fault
