They register my Depptreview in April 2019 and this year May 2024 my depr repayments should have completed. Now I get the surprize only half of the dept is paid, Letter from ABSA Dear Mr Du Plessis, The complaint case reference number is C-43266651.
Our records indicate that you app**** for debt review on 12 April 2029 and the Bank issued the Certificate of Balance on 23 April 2029.
The 17.2 Form was received on 25 April 2019 and your accounts were placed under debt review.
The payment proposal was received on 02 May 2019 and the Debt Review Department sent a proposal rework to your debt counsellor on 24 June 2019.
No further documentation was received from your debt counsellor and therefore there was no arrangement concluded between Absa Group and the debt counsellor. In the absence of the payment arrangement, the contractual monthly payments were due and payable on your accounts.
The personal loan account 30-5013-6195 was terminated on 11 February 2020 as the payments received were less than the contractual amount of R4909.00 - in October, November and December 2019 the amount of R2909.65 was received. The outstanding balance on the personal loan account at the time of termination was R267 698.78 and the arrears amount was R32 785.24.
The personal loan account is currently in legal and has been handed over to Norton Lambrianos SA Inc. for further collection of the outstanding balance. The credit card account 4787-6920-9014-0042 is still under debt review as the contractual payments are received. We further advise that your accounts are not settled as the Debt Review Department did not receive a formal arrangement from the debt counsellor - there is no final acceptance or court order in place. The account(s) were not restructured as per requirement for accounts under debt review as there is no formal arrangement concluded.
We urge you to liaise with your debt counsellor for further assistance with this matter.
Letter from OneDept Good day Sir
Hope this email finds you well.
I have liaised with your creditors and received the outstanding balances on the accounts
Absa ending 0042 R158 394.65
Absa ending 6195 R59 581.90
RCS R61.00
The debt review process can be five years or more depending the outstanding balances.
In Duplum is where the creditors are intitled to charge double the outstanding balance that’s why there is an outstanding balance on the accounts.
Hope the above is in order
Kind Regards
Inshaaf
