I am a registered nurse working in the frontline of this country's health crisis at present, and I am obviously very tired, disillusioned and overworked. Yesterday, I accidentally hit a curb with my car and got a puncture. I changed the tyre and parked the car away. This morning I went to work only to find that my other tyre, on the same side that I hit the curb, was also flat. I was on the verge of tears. I needed to stay at work but I needed the other tyre fixed. My colleague, who is also insured with Discovery, told me to call Discovery and they would help me. I was inundated with patients and stressed out about my car when I called. I spoke to Paulus Furstenburg and asked him for advice. He was professional and reassuring and very helpful. Without hesitation, he had a plan for my dilemma, he confirmed which Tiger Wheel and Tyre branch was open closest to me and he arranged for a tow-truck to come fetch my vehicle. Lunga from Optimum Assist called me shortly thereafter to locate my precise location and give me an ETA. More than that, both Lunga and Paulus stayed in contact with me every 15 minutes and were reassuring that the issue would get sorted out without needing to reimburse Discovery for this service. They kept contact with me right until the point that my car had safely reached Tiger Wheel. As I was unable to leave work at the time, Lunga assured me that my vehicle would be safe with him and he even sent me a picture once the car was safely loaded onto the truck. I am immensely grateful and impressed by the service I received by Discovery Insure, Optimum Assist, Lunga and Paulus. Thank you for taking care of me and my much-loved vehicle.
