Stuck in a lift at Menlyn Mall

Good day,

We are stuck in a lift with my family and two gentlemen at menlyn mall. It is four adults and two kids. When we called the centre management numbers displayed in the lift (012) 764- 9634, the security on duty informed us that there is no lift technician on standby. We then called the lift emergency number displayed in the lift 0800112338 & they informed us that they are calling the technician on standby. Apparently menlyn mall does not have a full time technician stationed at the mall. We had to wait for more than an hour to get help. We are stuck in lift no 02/ L3982. We even called Brooklyn police station to get help.

Keeping in mind that menlyn mall has previous history of lift stuck incidents, the situation is not at all pleasant. The technician finally decided to show up now with more than 45 minutes trying to open the doors.
