Stuck in an elevator, called emergency line and lady answers she cannot comprehend where I am, she does not know where I am stuck. Nor does she understand where I am when I tell her "melrose arch shopping centre on melrose Blvd near rosebank" she could not understand this. She told me a technician is on the way and when I ask "how long will it take?" She incompetently replied "You can ask him" and proceeds to hang up... I want this company to know how INCOMPETANT this staff member is, and I want that lady to know that she is part of the the problem, she wakes up and consumes resources and wastes them, I hope the world treats this lady the way she treated me when I was stuck in an elevator that came to a violent stop, when I thought I must call my wife first incase it's the last time I speak to her.... this OTTIS service help desk made the situation worse with her lack of common decency.

My boss has gotten stuck in the elevator in our office building. It's now going on half an hour and the technician still hasn't shown up, their mechanical and emergency lines don't work and to top it off their call center agents hang up on you when you report an emergency situation. Service delivery, product and customer care are beyond atrocious and these people need to be held accountable!

Good day, We are stuck in a lift with my family and two gentlemen at menlyn mall. It is four adults and two kids. When we called the centre management numbers displayed in the lift (012) 764- 9634, the security on duty informed us that there is no lift technician on standby. We then called the lift emergency number displayed in the lift 0800112338 & they informed us that they are calling the technician on standby. Apparently menlyn mall does not have a full time technician stationed at the mall. We had to wait for more than an hour to get help. We are stuck in lift no 02/ L3982. We even called Brooklyn police station to get help. Keeping in mind that menlyn mall has previous history of lift stuck incidents, the situation is not at all pleasant. The technician finally decided to show up now with more than 45 minutes trying to open the doors. Mr Mokoena

please don't make use of otis ever,it's the worst company i have ever seen. i stay in a block of flats where there is a otis lift and a lot of old people. the flat has 7 storeys. the lift stays broken and its broken on/off for 5 years now. they fix the lift get in car and 2 days later it's broken again. i think their staff is incompetent to fix lift. they always have excuses but can't fix the lift,they don't worry about the old people and that they stuck and can't go to the shop. it's a disgrace how they work,they not even worth one star but only a minus.

They come here measure broken part come back new part wrong measure it wrong really,this is now qualified people. The lift broke again 2 days ago,last night a guy came out looked at lift and said he doesn't know whats wrong,now what now,it's no wonder they let cubans come in. I can't understand there's no time to fix problem first time but there's lotsa time to do it over and over and over. They leave us stranded,they have no clientelle and dont worry. we had to close our guesthouse by the end of March. We then decided to close for good. We had a lift that was serviced by Otis for many years. The contract with Otis was cancelled by me to the end of May 2020. They continue to debit the account still every month even after they stopped servicing the lift in June. Their accounts department is not helpful at all and no one seems to be interested to stop the debit order. As the debit order is very old even Standardbank seems incapable to stop the debit order. At Otis no one is taking action to resolve the issue

we had to close our guesthouse by the end of March. We then decided to close for good. We had a lift that was serviced by Otis for many years. The contract with Otis was cancelled by me to the end of May 2020. They continue to debit the account still every month even after they stopped servicing the lift in June. Their accounts department is not helpful at all and no one seems to be interested to stop the debit order. As the debit order is very old even Standardbank seems incapable to stop the debit order. At Otis no one is taking action to resolve the issue

We have been without. A lift for 2.5 weeks due to a repair that should take MAXIMUM 2.5DAYS the Gate motor has to be rewound ONLY 2 bolts hold the Motor in place 1 man job to take it out ,the engineering firm says Max 2 days to rewind and 1 man refit Nobody at OTIS cares that this is a block of “OLDIES” that can’t get up and down the stairs so easily and now they are trying to make us be without a lift FOR. 5.5 weeks
