To whom it may concern, I am writing to express my deep frustration and dissatisfaction with the service we received from your company, specifically from your employee, Lani. We purchased a leather lounge suite with the understanding that delivery would occur within 6 to 8 weeks. Instead, it took 13 weeks, and during this time, there was no follow-up from Lani whatsoever. It is clear that her commission for the sale was enjoyed long before any effort was made to ensure customer satisfaction. Frankly, had we not escalated the matter to Erica the Store Manager at Ouhout Willowbridge, we would likely still be waiting. Through our interactions, it became evident that Lani was and remains the root of the problem. To make matters worse, we discovered that she is not permanently assigned to any particular store but is moved around, benefiting from sales commissions without taking responsibility for after-sales service. This setup is both unfair and unprofessional. The reputation Ouhout claims to uphold is completely misaligned with the reality of how your business operates. This experience has been pathetic and unacceptable, with no sense of what customer service is. We as customers pay a premium rate and expect a premium product and the customer service that goes hand in hand with it. We deserve transparency, accountability, and great customer service in all these ways you have failed miserably. We expect a formal response addressing: • Why the promised delivery timeline was not honoured. • Why there was zero communication or follow-up from your representative. • What corrective measures Ouhout will implement to prevent such experiences. We trusted your brand and were let down. Please treat this matter with the seriousness it deserves. We are also yet to receive our polish and cleanser which Lani was to provide us with after she got paid due to her failure to do her job. When we followed up with the store, we were informed that messages had been sent to Lani requesting that she contact us to discuss the way forward. Unfortunately, it became clear that she had no intention of calling and offering an apology for the lack of service. This reflects very poorly on Ouhoud’s hiring and accountability practices. I can only assume ******** as her form of employment as nothing has been done by Ouhout having raised our concerns. The above has been added to HelloPeter, WhatsApp, Facebook and emails have been sent at store level and nationally along with your online team. I have had enough of being taken for a ride. Their wooden furniture may be custom made, but stay away from any other items they seem, especially their lamps, which are poor quality Chinese imports. Both the standing and bedside lamps are completely unstable (Ouhout's shop assistant acknowledged the problem and suggested I 'stick it to the floor'). They break instantly if they fall over, because they are made from cheap, brittle plastic resin. I ordered two 'bronze' lamps, but received the wrong lamp on both orders. One broke the same day it arrived, and no refund was offered. So I have had to pay full price for a broken lamp that was not even the lamp I ordered. Absurd lack of accountability over poor quality products. Avoid.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER FROM OUHOUT!!! I would not recommend them to anybody not even my worst enemy. They have managers who have ZERO care for customer retention and service. They will speak to you like they are more important than you and they are doing you a favour. Their managers handle customers with emotions and throw tantrums when you raise concerns. Manager even went as far as saying I can cancel my order If I wanted when I raised my dissatisfaction with them. One would expect quality service considering the brand they are. They treat you like royalty when they want your money and will treat you like ******* when you have issues with them. I got my delivery with no prior arrangements made with me as or at least a phone call to say they are on their way as the manager was trying to be spiteful or to inconvenience me. I had to leave work so I can open for them. The delivery note came with a highlighted instruction that I must pay R500 delivery, cash on delivery and when I enquire about the whole thing she raises her voice and spoke with so much irritation like I am her tea girl. This R500 is being paid to them so there is no running away which is not even 0.025% of what I paid them upfront . So its a Tom and Jerry situation at the expense of the customer I would never set my foot in any of their stores again. I have never regretted buying and supporting a business like like I do now with Ouhout They will never see me again

<p>My mother has ordered custom made furniture from Ou Hout Meubels in Cape Gate Mall, Kraaifontein. This furniture was ordered for her the flat (in the Strand) she is moving into February 2017. When she first received the furniture, the furniture was not made to order as requested. Ou Hout took it back to make the changes. Every week they promised it will be done inthat week, which it was not and so it went on for a few weeks. My mother has moved into the flat last weekend (16/02/2016) without the furniture. This means that she is sleeping on the floor. Last week they told her that the order will be ready today (22/02/2017). They have confirmed today that it is ready, but they will only deliver it for R1200, which my mother is not willing to pay, due to the fact that they are not giving good service and making empty promises. Now they said they will only deliver the furniture to their branch in the Strand when there is other furniture to be delivered to the Strand branch. So this means that my mother must until they are ready. Isn't is good etiquette to do everything in your power to keep your paying clients happy. </p>

<p>I have been a client of Ouhout Meubels a few times now and never have I left dissapointed. My first experience was about four years ago when I bought a blackwood dining room table with chairs. Seeing the quality of the workmanship and the excellent material I kept going back and have since had several custom built pieces designed. I have to mention two individuals who, with their exceptional knowlege of the product and the industry, their warm and friendly disposition and their willingness to go the extra mile have made my experience at Ouhout especially enjoyable, Ricky and Maryna. From concept, through designing and producing custom built pieces they have kept me updated throughout the entire process and always made sure that I am happy. My experience today at the Cape Gate branch, was as ever, a most positive experience thanks to Ricky with his friendly attitude and willingness to advise and help. I can recommend Ouhout to everyone.</p>

<p>Whilst we live in a time where real good old fashioned respect and integrity of business owners are few and far between, I can attest to the kind and most understanding service of the management of OUHOUT.</p> <p> </p> <p>I wish to express my gratitude to the co-owner who whas most happy to see to the matter that made me initially dissatisfied with my service, being resolved in the best way that suited me.</p> <p> </p> <p>I most certainly will return to this business and will now be aware that whatever I am not totally satisfied with, the company's management will meet me half way to ensure a great business relationship will continue.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p>

<p>We bought a leather lounge suit from Ou Hout.</p> <p>Upon arrival the suit was not to our satisfaction. After lenthy disucssions we then chose a suit that was more to our standards, however....</p> <p> </p> <p>Upon viewing the suit we noticed a very small hole in the leather which we requested to be replaced.</p> <p> </p> <p>The sales person promised that as soon as a batch with the same colour is available it will be replaced.</p> <p> </p> <p>When the suit was delivered we noticed that the "studs" on the one couch was bent up and close to breaking off. To our dismay and shock it was actually not decent solid studs but merely cheap tin that resembles studs.</p> <p>I called the sales person immediately upon which he promised to sent someone to fix this.</p> <p> </p> <p>It has been several months later and my attempt to get this resolved ended in absolutly no response!!</p> <p> </p> <p>I am utterly disgusted and regret spending a huge amount of money at this company!!</p>
