They contacted my mom, and she consulted with me about the call. I asked her to give them my number since I'm helping my mom get out of debt and manage her finances. A lady named Linda called, first calling from a line that's apparently unrecorded and then called back from a recorded line. I asked how she got access to my mom's info, apparently they get peoples credit profiles information and access through the NCR without the consent of my mom. She explained that they can reduced her debt by like 60% and reduce her monthly payments. I asked how this is possible and she explained that they do an application with the credit providers and that the credit providers are already aware of the reduction. I enquired about how this works and what's the hidden costs, or if there's a catch. She said they get paid by the NCR to reduce debt. I asked her to send me the information via email so that I can do background checks and to try and understand how it works since there are a lot of ****mers out there and she didn't even introduce where she's calling from, and in response, she hung up on me. Whether it is a **** or not, it's very unprofessional to put the phone off in someone's ear when all I am trying to do is be cautious and try to understand what my mom might sign up for.
