I am extremely disappointed with the lack of service and professionalism displayed by Outdoor & Velocity’s Table Bay Mall branch. I purchased a self-defense tool on 27 October 2023, only to break within an hour of purchase during testing. This was not only embarrassing, as it was intended to be a gift and I was forced to arrive empty-handed, but raised serious concerns about the quality of their products.
Despite returning the defective item and initiating a refund request the same day, I am still waiting for my refund, seven weeks later. I have been in contact with various staff members - Joslyn, Meagon, and Camilla Jacobs - each promising to resolve the matter, yet nothing has been done. The communication has been inconsistent and unprofessional, with WhatsApp messages and promises being ignored.
It is unacceptable for a company to withhold a refund for a defective product for this length of time. This breach of consumer rights demonstrates a complete lack of respect for their customers.
I demand immediate action and urge potential customers to think twice before shopping at Outdoor & Velocity. Such disregard for customer satisfaction is appalling.
I will escalate this matter further if no resolution is provided.
