This was my first experience with Park Avenue Stationers, and sad to say it was an extremely disappointing outcome. Absolutely shocking service. 3 days later am still trying to get my complete orders. They don't seem equipped tp deal with online orders, and certainly are not concerned about customer satisfaction.

They are efficient and they have for all the years serviced me very well. When my product is finished at the store they gladly refer me to their competitor, for that reason and many others I'm a loyal customer.

I bought a 10m ethernet cable from this store. But upon arriving in the office and opening the package, I saw the cable casing was damaged. I thus returned to the store, requesting a refund. I mentioned in a nice way, that the cable looked perhaps second hand (as my landlord mentioned when looking at the cable). A muslim lady, with an Eastern accent responded to me immediately in a very aggressive manner! Her aggression was so extreme that I eventually told her that I didn't want to argue with her about this matter anymore and that I just wanted a refund. She then threateningly calls her husband, 'Would you like to talk to my husband?', calling him aggressively. He arrived and immediately flew into an aggressive argument. His verbal and emotional abuse was beyond any reasonable level and certainly falls into the category of psychological abuse. He shouted how he was 'sick of customers attitudes...' and was continuing an abusive psycho-analysis of my responses (which were gentle and friendly anyway). I was resulted to begging him to please stop the lectures and give me my refund so I could get away from the verbal abuse. His abusive treatment towards me included no less than a refusal of the refund, until I apologised for my attitude. And a further progressed, in him later at the till refusing to refund me AGAIN, until I no longer was allowed to speak. He blamed me for not checking the cable, he blamed his suppliers, he seemed to enjoy engaging in and aggressive argument and there seemed to be no end or no way out. His manner was abusive and manipulative and he played the whole non-scene like a sick game. I felt like someone who had been kidnapped and was trying to negotiate with my kidnapper a way to get out. The entire incident took perhaps 20 minutes to unfold. Towards the end, I could hear his wife striking up another argument with another female customer. I left in disbelief. I was highly traumatised after the event and broke down in tears back in the office just before i had to go online, live. I don't even know where to begin how to take this incident further. I don't have much hope in the police nor finance to pursue a legal argument. Advice would be highly appreciated.
