Henry Paxton - Paxton Architectural Studio, Mossel Bay. Poor Service
So after meeting the owner Mr Henry Paxton of Paxton Architectural Studio on 28 November 2018 at the site I wanted to have building plans drawn for, he said he would be able to provide me with municipal approved building plans. Later that day he e-mailed his quotation stipulating his terms and conditions. One of his terms of acceptance is that upon acceptance of the quotation a deposit of R9000 was required, which I duly made a few days later. After making the deposit, I had to contact him via whatsapp, to find out whether he received payment, and he then confirmed that he did receive payment. Too date16 February 2019 I have yet to receive official acknowledgment of receipt of payment, no receipt or statement has been forwarded to myself. Also as at 16 February I have not been contacted by Mr Henry Paxton with regards to my building plans. I have not been given any timelines as to when i can expect a first draft, when the building plans will be submitted or when I can expect an approved municipal plan. I have contacted him via whatsapp 14 January 2019 and 01 February 2019 and on each occasion he promised to provided me with sketch plans a few days later. On 7 February I emailed him expressing my disappointment with the poor service being rendered by him claiming to be a professional architect. I also asked him how he was going to remedy the situation and if not, that he should reimburse me my deposit. My email has been ignored and at of 16 February 2019 I have not yet heard from him with regards to my e-mail. On 11 February 2019 I called him but my call went unanswered. Shortly thereafter, I contacted the gentleman who referred me to Henry Paxton and informed him of the poor service being rendered by Mr Henry Paxton. He then undertook to call Mr Paxton, which he did. The said gentleman shortly thereafter informed me that Mr Paxton saw my call, but that he was busy at the time, he also informed the gentleman that he would contact me and that he would have my sketches for me. Five days later, I have received absolutely nothing, no sketch and no phone call.
