PayMyFines takes your money for a fine but does not pay it to the authority

In December 2024 I have paid a traffic fine via the PayMyFines webpage and the money was deducted from my credit card a day later. However, I keep getting notices from the authorities that this fine remains unpaid and despite numerous follow-ups with PayMyFines, the matter remains unresolved. Is this tardiness, ***** or perhaps a ****?
