my 4 month old pitbull got sick suddenly. my husband and i took him to th PDSA in Bridgetown. there was only 3 people before us. we eventually came to the front, said what we were there for, and PAID. then we waited to be seen to by the clinic staff. people came after us and was seen to before us. when we asked why is the other people going in before us, Arthur George, told us with attitude, No fighting, I will explain now. he then told us that there are 4 clinic rooms, 3 for treatments and 1 for vaccinations. our dog was extremely sick and needed treatment ASAP. he said that the innoculations goes quick thats why they see to that first. we eventually were called into a room, the guy gave our dog 3 injections and said that he is dehydrated and must bring him back the next day. we were in and out quicker than the innoculations... so i dont know WHY they treat the innoculations first instead of the animals who really need immediate attention. The next day, the dog started to pass blood. My husband took the dog back for treatment and the first guy says, the dog has a pierced intestine probably from a bone.... NO XRAYS were done! The next guy comes and says the dog is pushing out red blood cells.... only after to be diagnosed with Parvo virus.... they had him on a drip and sent him home. we went back saturday morning and the line was 5m almost till in the road. my husband waited and waited but unfortunately had to be somewhere. he then brought the dog back home and i took the dog back at 9:30 and the line was still long. i went inside and asked is there no way that i can bring him in to be put ont he drip. i was told unfortunately, i have to wait in the line to be seen to. i took my dog home to continue the glucose water and made him comfortable. i phoned the PDSA and begged them to see to him. they told me that they are already closed. Arthur George came to the phone and i explained everything again to him. i begged him to just see to him and he just said no we cant. i said so my dog must just die? so he said, im gonna have to be rude to you now, but without treatment, your dog will be dead tomorrow. and told me i should have stayed in the line to be seen to. i told him that i have 2 sick kids at home that needed to be seen to as well and all he could say was Well mam, unfortunately we all have other obligations to see to. i was so fuming and disgusted by him at this time that i just told him that his pathetic and hung up.

at 12:26 Kobe took his last breath. i thought the PDSA is there for helping animals.... they just a bunch of heartless people working in order to get paid. No compassion whatsoever!
