I bought an expensive necklace and pendant on 5 May 2023 from the Fourways Mall branch. A gift for Mother's Day. My wife returned from work abroad. She only tried the necklace on around the 17 of May. It broke as she tried to put it on. Very disappointing but nonetheless she went the next week to the store to exchange the item. At the store the shop assistant response was alarming. She basically insinuated that my wife was too rough with the necklace. And that it broke due to wear and tear. The necklace was never worn by my wife because it broke before she could put it on. This attitude from the staff also begs the questions as to the quality of their jewellery if it breaks due to wear and tear within a month. Since it broke they refuse to refund my money. Completely discarding the fact that the item may have been sold defective. I'm sure it's possible that something went awry in manufacturing. And to add further insult also refusing to refund me in full for the pendant which is also unused and in store condition This kind of policy is in my opinion most dishonorable and in poor consumer practice and values. As such I will never buy anything from any of their stores and doubt the quality of their products. I would advise people to avoid such poor customer service stores as you are bound to be disappointed as I am.
