I took my car in for service 2 weeks ago at Peters Auto Car in Primrose East, Boksburg. Upon completion of the service my vehicle was taken offsite to a private carwash- a fact that had never been shared to me. While there a customer bumped into my car apparently while reversing; even though the pictures taken depict an incident with greater force. The conundrum now is that the owner of Peters Auto Care states that I should cover the cost of repairing my vehicle- R35000.00 through my insurance company as he is accepting no responsibility for my vehicle under his care and the 3rd party had no insurance. Then when I complain that not only is this incident not my fault but I have been been furnished with no details of the accident bar "your car has been bumped, here are the pictures",I am requested to write an email to his legal department which will then come to a decision within 6 weeks as to will they accept/ reject my claim that the business should take responsibility for my vehicle which had been placed under their care. In the meantime I've also been advised to come fetch my vehicle in its current state as it is still "driveable" when I asked about my form of transportation while they deliberated on my fate. This is the worst form of unacceptable customer service and no one should be giving business to this company that clearly has no regard for their customers.
