The rooms and lodge are stunning but that’s where it stops. You get the impression the food and beverage side is run on a shoe string budget. The alcohol in the all inclusive package was sub standard and in low supply. The champagne you don’t finish at night gets served to you the following lunch time completely flat and with an arbitrary wine cork in it. The morning game drive snacks consists of dry homemade biscuits and that is as good as it gets High tea is non existent and game drive sundowners consist of peanuts and some dry wors. Far better value and service can be gotten at Lion Sands or Singita for the same price but Phinda is a distant one star cousin in relation to Lion Sands and Singita
