AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

I made the terrible mistake of renting from Pieter and his associates. Firstly, check twice on what you see on Property24, they will post outdated and probably edited photos of the properties they rent. I made the mistake of visiting their property during loadshedding after work -- the darkness worked in their favor because as soon as I signed those papers and moved in, the property was hanging by a thread. Faucets, blinds, security gates, black mold, built up grime, leaky roof you name it its all broken-- Lacking YEARS of maintenance. The leaks were so bad it tripped the power! I tried to nullify the contract in the same weekend I moved in and they wanted to subject me with 2 months of rental fee as well as their advertising costs, which is a massive amount of money to pay to get out of a proper crackden of a property. That being said, i chewed the bullet as its my fault for trusting this company. I reckoned the maintenance team will get the place fixed up. They came back to me only after 9 Months, only fixing about 30% of the issues. And that's only because I threatened to withhold my payments due to my health and safety being at risk. And that's not the worst of it, come moving out they will outright ROB you of your deposit. Charging me to repaint the WHOLE apartment, claiming I had left marks on each and every wall and ceiling. The same walls and ceilings with their black mold and leaky-water damage conveniently. I implore all rental property owners and renters to AVOID PIETER KOTZE AT ALL COSTS! This company has zero integrity and zero intention of serving you as a tenant.
