Thank you for increasing your entrance fees. Some fees have increased by 700%, well done. Will never see me again. For the cost of 2 visits to Pilanesberg I can purchase a Wildcard and visit the Kruger National Park for a year!!!

Most people are well aware of the poor state of (most) roads in the Pilanesberg National Park. The exception is some of the gravel roads that appear to have been graded recently. A very popular attraction, the Mankwe Hide has been closed for some time now due to structural problems and there no signs (plans?) that it will be repaired any time soon. Further deterioration in the Park's facilities are very noticeable and of greater concern as it will impact tourism if not addressed as a matter of urgency. Other than at the gates and the Pilanesberg Centre, the toilet facilities are in a disgustingly shocking state. Flushing mechanisms do not work and there is no indication whatsoever that the toilets have been cleaned. As a consequence, the toilets are overflowing and coated with hardened faeces. Not exactly an adverti*****t for our country or something that visitors (tourists) should be subjected to! Although not generally a visitor attraction, the Iron Age Site is vital part of the area and South Africa's history. Sadly, it is "closed" to visitors. Closed because of a chain on the gate but "open" because of the broken-down fence. Access to the actual iron age ruins is limited due to the path being overgrown with tall grass and thorn bushes. Views of the ruins are very limited for the same reason The site is in dire need of being cleared/maintained. Time for the Northwest Province's Department of Environment, Conservation and Tourism to be fired!!

Great sightings, however, the "so-called" tarred road is in a total state of disrepair! There are so many potholes that one cannot avoid them. To add insult to injury, unopened bags of bitumen repair kits lie along the road! These were probably donated but never used! I would suggest that they rip up what remains of the tar and rather have gravel roads that are easier to maintain! The gravel roads were mostly in good condition!

What an amazing experience! From the booking to the actual event! The bookings were done hassle free, and the tour guide was amazing and funny! I will recommend Daniela Du Plessis - Biggestleaf Travel at Pilanesberg national park anytime and our tour guide, which I don't recall her full name but we called her BK. Well done to excellent service! You guys rock!

Pathetic. No water, no electricity, no roads, no cooldrinks in shop, not enough cutlery in Chalet nr 6. no can opener, no lid for back bin outside. no "haan" on braai, rained in at chimney. Kettle was broken, fridge did not work. They busy renovating Nr 5 and were hammering against our wall. Noise from people in Charlet nr 7 or 8.

BAKGATLA CAMPING SITE PILANESBERG What a disappointment this weekend was. Paying to camp and wen you arrive back to the camp site some of your camping equipment has been ****** by member's that visited the resort next to us. No efforted were made to get our stuff back or to find out who the person was who just drove to our camp site stop and choose what they wanted. As the cleaning staff acknowledged a Nissan Navara Bakkie stop at our camp site and picked the stuff up
