Pilates Dynamics Mat Course

As a client, Pilates Dynamics is an incredible place with amazing instructors who possess extensive knowledge of the industry. However, my personal experience as a student completing a course here did not align with the expectations set by their website and social media platforms.

I enrolled in the Pilates mat course in January, excited to embark on my Pilates journey in February 2023. The package I purchased promised international accreditation, mentorship, and a comprehensive education. Unfortunately, the reality fell short of what was advertised, which was especially disheartening considering the significant investment of time and money I had made.

The course was conducted in a studio setting, but the hands-on learning experience I had hoped for was lacking. In a discipline like Pilates, where physical movement and instruction are integral, this was a great concern. Communication and guidance were challenging, and additional assistance came at an extra cost, which added to the frustration.

Upon transitioning to the observation, practical, and teaching phases, I felt overwhelmed and lacking in guidance. Seeking answers and information required going through intermediaries, and direct contact with Andriesa, the owner and educator, was limited. This made it difficult to progress toward the required 100 hours of observation, self-practice, and teaching. Questions often went unanswered or lacked substantive responses.

When I raised these concerns with the studio, I was told that this journey was meant to be "self-learning." It was disheartening to realize that I had paid a significant amount for a "self-learning journey" when comparable online options were available at a fraction of the cost.

Tests and tutorials were scheduled, with changing dates, and questions were addressed primarily during tutorial sessions. Test feedback was lacking, making it challenging to adequately prepare for subsequent assessments.

If you're considering Pilates training, I advise conducting thorough research and seeking recommendations from individuals who have completed reputable courses elsewhere. While I've gained valuable insights from this experience, leaving the studio was ultimately the best decision for me. It's important to carefully consider your options before enrolling in Pilates Dynamics.
