We had bad floods in Durban in July. In early August I registered a claim with Aon Insurance Brokers and the case was handed to Zola to administer. An assessor, George, was appointed and came to the house. He in turn appointed a contractor. Despite many calls to Zola, neither I nor my son in Australia (who owns the house) have ever heard even if the claim is accepted. He always needs to refer back to George and undertakes to get back to me. He doesn't do so. Meanwhile each time it rains the rain just runs down the walls of the house where the storm caused damage to the roof. I had to replace the TV and I am unable to fit the TV s the rain running down the walls in the lounge will damage the new TV. The bedroom cupboards are now rotting from the damp and the cornices are falling off the roof. I am shocked and disgusted that an upmarket insurance company treats its clients this way.
