PLATINUM AUTO REPAIR CENTRE's replyOfficial
14 Sept 2021, 10:14 With regards to Mr Ngwane’s extreme disappointment review which was posted on the 3 September 2021, we wish to respond accordingly.
On the 23 July 2021, Mr Ngwane came to our workshop with the complaint that he was having difficulty in selecting gears. His vehicle was inspected by our workshop manager who discovered that the gear selector shaft was worn out due to wear and tear and requires replacement. Mr Ngwane was advised accordingly. Prices were obtained by our administrator and a warranty claim was lodged on his behalf with the Innovation Group on the 11 August 2021, who informed us that that a motor assessor will be appointed to inspected the damages. The client had given us permission to strip the gearbox for inspection. A quote was formulated and we informed the claims department of the repair costs.
Mr Ngwane received an email authorization confirmation on the 16 August 2021 of the repairs of which Platinum Panel & Paints was copied in. Our administrator ordered the part and he was advised that there is a 1 ½ month delay as it was on back order. However, the repairs were completed on the 28 August 2021 and Mr Ngwane’s brother, namely Zenzo came to collect the vehicle on his brother’s behalf. Our workshop manager test drove the vehicle to ensure that repairs carried out was in working condition and requested Zenzo to accompany to test drive vehicle with him, which he refuted to do so as he was in a hurry.
7 days later, Mr Ngwane came back to our workshop with a list of complaints which were totally unrelated to the gearbox selector shaft replacement. We, nevertheless, had the steering wheel inspected by one of our service providers who conducted a diagnostic check and it was discovered that steering wheel ABS sensor requires replacement.
We have replaced the ABS steering wheel sensor. The cost for the diagnostic check and the new steering wheel ABS sensor is to be borne by Mr Ngwane.
We must emphasize on the fact:
· That at no stage did we delay on the repairs to the vehicle, · We had to wait for the authorization from Innovation, · The waiting period on the availability of the part was beyond our control. · The unrest in Durban also impacted our business operations, · When the vehicle left our workshop. the vehicle was good working condition.
Platinum Panel & Paints strives to maintain at all times, a good working relationship with our clients; service providers by offering the best advice and service possible to all parties concerned.
Best regards,
