We wanted to buy a house in Rensburg and the Agents never disposed that the house is owned by 4 people, all they said was that the property is being owned by a lady in Cape Town. We were given a offer to purchase in July 2021 which we signed and never received the signed documents by the seller till about a month later after requesting. the agent and their lawyers never updates on how the process is of buying the house is going. You need to follow up with them. When wanted to cancel the offer to purchase because we have not received a word from them then they tell us that they will sue us. We found that from the 4 people owning the house one person is late and they will need to fixed the matter and its already the 2 month with no progress of the house being close to registration. They have not asked for deposit and they process is really delaying because of one the member having died. Why did they not disclose that the property is being owned by 4 people and not one, worse that one person is late. we are not able to wait for such. is this even right for agents not to disclose information which we would have never bought a house knowing that the is a late person involved let alone 4 people owning the house. And the agent says a different story from what I have to enquire about the property. The agent says the is a mess up with the numbering of the property and they will need to fix that. I mean I am buying a property that has problems already. and being forced to purchase because you have now signed they agreement and not being happy about their disclosures does not allow me to dismiss the offer to purchase. so if I did not have the funds what happens? I feel that they are being unfair.
