Bad Personal Experience
I app**** for a role through P.net and was unsuccessful. Based on my personal experience, I found the outcome unclear, as my background appeared to meet — and in some areas exceed — the stated requirements, including relevant experience and willingness to relocate.
I also noticed that Unite Recruiting(advertising on P.net)does not have an active Google business listing, which makes it difficult for candidates to provide feedback or engage directly.
In hindsight, I recognize that I could have conducted more due diligence on my own side. Ghost jobs are known to occur in the recruitment industry, and a Hello Peter rating of 3.1 seems relatively low compared to expectations for a professional recruitment service.
This review reflects my personal experience and opinion, and I share it in the hope that future candidates and the company itself may benefit from clearer communication and more transparency.

As the technology platform that connects recruiters' vacancies with jobseekers, once you have applied, Pnet is no longer involved in the relationship and it's then up to the recruiter to engage directly (I found this email address on theur website under "Contact Us": enquiries@uniterecruit.co.za, so you can provide feedback there, and they have a Facebook page where you can add a review). We are unfortunately not able to comment on the match of your profile to the recruiter's job vacancy advertised. Regarding your comment around this being a ghost job - again - we're unable to respond as to whether or not the role exists, but can note that Unite Recruiting is a reputable orgnaisation and has been verified as such by Pnet, which is part of our own due diligence process when we allow recruiters to use our platform to advertise their vacancies.
A low rating is unfortunately related to the industry we operate in as we get many jobseekers misunderstand the role we play i.e. the tech platform rather than the recruiter itself. Many jobseekers who can't secure roles based on applications for irrelevant positions, a mismatch on skills and qualifications, poorly constructed CVs or profiles etc. will feel that Pnet itself is the issue, which is often not the case when we review their individual profiles relative to the job advertised. We successfully match 1000s of candidates to suitable job vacancies and are confident on our ability to help recruiters find talent and jobseekers find roles.
