I had a tyre fitted by Tyre Point Queensburgh, which subsequently deflated shortly after installation. The matter was reported to the fitment centre, however responsibility was denied.
I then arranged for an independent inspection by Supa Quick on 21 January 2026. The inspection confirmed that there was no puncture present, but damage to the tyre bead was observed. In their professional assessment, the damage was found to be consistent with incorrect seating of the tyre on the rim during installation and not as a result of normal road use or a manufacturing defect.
Despite submission of the independent inspection report, the matter remains unresolved. I am currently in the process of obtaining a sworn affidavit from the inspecting technician and will be proceeding with the Small Claims Court with the assistance of Consumer Protection Services should this matter not be amicably resolved.
