They installed 2 wind turbines at my house. Their installation never worked, but in stead their incorrect wiring into my existing pv-system caused the batteries and inverter to be damaged beyond repair. They liquidated last year.

Today I was told that the 5KW Solar System I had installed in February 2023, at the cost of R 135 000 was missing a AC surge protector. According to the amount I paid for the system I would have thought it was included in the price, but clearly it was not. I was also never informed that the filters on the system needed cleaning regularly. When I requested a copy of the initial installation documents I was told that it stated that a SHOTO battery was included but they installed a PROTEC battery. In 2024 I wanted to add another battery and Power Africa informed me that there was no other battery compatible with the Protec Battery. I contacted them on numerous occasions to provide me with the necessary proof of purchase and installation. Today I tried contacting Power Africa, the person who sold me that system and the person delegated to look after the system in case of problems BUT those number don't exist or are not available. So how do I obtain my username and password of my system to have access to my system?? Very poor after sales service and interest in the products they sold to me and I am not the only one who has had this treatment from POWER AFRICA. Lost respect for that company after the dealings I have had with them

Power Africa installed my Solar system for ±R200000. They give me 5 year warrantee on the two inverters, 10 years on the three lithium batteries, and 15 years on the sixteen solar panels. One of the batteries is now faulty I took it to Volta -the manufacture -and there is no serial number or warrantee void sticker. They will not replace or repair it under warrantee. Power Africa removed the stickers and they are now closed or bankrupt . The owner does not pick up his phone. What are my rights and what can I do?

We purchased a solar system from Power Africa in 2023. The battery started giving problems and was removed in December 2024. We were told that the testing would take 4-6 weeks. When we called in January to find out what was happening, we were informed that they had been liquidated. We are now without a battery. Former employees cannot tell us who the liquidators are. When you whatsapp them, the message says that they have been liquidated and that you need to email them.....all emails come back undeliverable!!

Bought a 3 kw wind turbine from them end of October. Garentees and after services was promised. According to their website they existed 15 years. The unit did not supply any power. After many complaints, they send us a letter that they are going to replace the controller box, but the shipping will take 3-4 weeks. That was supposed to be here before closing for the Christmas season, so we were waiting for the new year to begin. The letter also promised that they will arrange with the developer in America for a visit to see why the turbine keeps on changing direction, as soon as it picks up enough speed to charge. We were sending reply emails to them from last week, but it gets back undelivered. So we tried to phone them, no answer. The rep, Meyer that visited us said he is not working for them any more. Another contact we had André, claims he's not working for them the past 4 years. so I opened Hello Peter and see lots of complaints now, that they closed down. I will contact the Consumer protection Act.
