Unfortunately, I cannot give this company a positive review. I came across a rifle scope on their website priced at approximately R25,000 and proceeded through the online ordering process to the point just before payment. Something however struck me as unusual: the listing contained no photograph and almost no product details. It gave instructions to see the item on the Sightron website and provided a code for doing so. Because of this, I decided not to complete the purchase and left the item in my shopping cart. The following day I phoned the company to confirm whether the scope was actually available and in stock. The gentleman I spoke to informed me that the scope was not actually available for sale, but was in fact a second-hand refurbished scope that had been reserved for a customer to collect. At no point on the website listing was this indicated. The item appeared to be a standard retail product available for purchase, with no mention that it was used, refurbished, or unavailable. He strangely acknowledged that they were aware of this "uncollected listing" on the website for some time. This exacerbates the error even more. The gentleman then remarked that it was “fortunate” that I had not made payment, and suggested that the issue should be understood in the context that they have more than 5,000 items in their store. While I appreciate that mistakes can occur, this explanation does not address the concern that a high-value item was incorrectly listed as available for purchase. He then asked whether I would like them to source such a scope elsewhere. I rep**** that, given this experience, I would prefer not to proceed with doing business with the company and at that, I was ready to end the conversation. At this point the tone of the conversation became defensive. I was told that “everyone is human” and that mistakes can happen. I acknowledged this, but reiterated that I simply preferred not to proceed further. The conversation then became unnecessarily confrontational, with the gentleman accusing me of wanting to “pick a fight”, despite my intention merely being to conclude the call politely. I eventually ended the conversation calmly, after which he remarked, somewhat sarcastically, “I hope you can try to have a nice day.” Overall, the inaccurate website listing and the unprofessional handling of a straightforward enquiry left me with little confidence in the reliability of this vendor.
They installed 2 wind turbines at my house. Their installation never worked, but in stead their incorrect wiring into my existing pv-system caused the batteries and inverter to be damaged beyond repair. They liquidated last year.
Ordered and paid for PlayStation 5. Never delivered. Delivery was confirmed by them for 14 December. Tech Global can only be contacted via Messenger, but on 21 Dec 2021 they blocked me from communicating with them. No telnr, no email address, no physical address. They refuse to provide courier info and they won’t give waybill nr. They now have my money and I have no way to communicate with them. We were full of hope that this was not a scam until my son’s birthday on 21 December, after which we knew…
Scammers. Don’t look at the positive ratings below- they were most probably posted by collaborators of these scammers. There is no way to contact them other than on Messenger. They refuse to provide contact details. They also refuse to provide courier details or delivery waybill number. Then they stop replying to messages altogether. I paid R13899 for a Playstation 5 and the delivery was never made. Their website is techglobal.co.za I have reported the fraudulent transaction with Mastercard, reported them to the public protector and am in the process of laying a charge with SAPS
If I could give a negative rating I would have. Johnathan Stephenson has not delivered on any of his promises since August last year. I have paid for the solar panels, the inverter, the batteries upfront in two tranches (my first mistake) and to date I have no PV system. He shamelessly makes excuses day after day after day for not getting the equipment, not having the panels, not having the inverter, waiting for the batteries, having Covid, being mugged/hijacked, having Covid again, vehicle being stoned, being dropped by the electrician, another bout of Covid, getting another electrician who now wants him to change the wiring again, electrician having a fall and unable to walk, yet another electrician. Now my inverter and batteries are gone. For the last two weeks, he EVERY DAY promises to be here to complete the next day. He has no shame. I am now reporting the equipment that I paid for and that were removed from my premises as stolen, and I am taking legal action to hold him liable for the cost of others to complete the installation. I have never dealt with such a thick skinned and shameless serial excuse making non performer in my life.
