Bad service
I am lost for words after dealing with their receptionists for the first time ever on Friday 18/08/2023. I simply called and asked if a specific doctor is available. They rep**** and said no and dropped the phone. After phoning back I eventually got assisted with an alternative doctor who is available. Why should the phone be dropped first? I called again this morning about a query for a sick note. Their response was ‘you need to send an email’. And they simply just dropped the call again. There was no time for me to even ask for the specific email address. They just dropped! You feel that you are bothering them by phoning for a service. Where I feel they should assist you and provide you with a service. But that is not the case. This is really shocking and gives the centre a bad reputation, just because of their receptionists.
This was the receptionists for Dr Brink, Dr Heyns, Dr Meyer, Dr Hattingh, Dr Kotze.

21 Aug 2023, 14:06Thank you for the feedback. We are sorry to learn of your negative experience and assure you this is not the customer service we strive for and will investigate the matter. It is true you cannot request a sick note via telephone, maybe the call was lost due to network or load-shedding issues, we receive thousands of calls each month and reception will not disconnect a call on purpose in the middle of a conversation.
It saddens us however that you take on this matter in a public forum without first escalating the matter to the practise manager or facilities manager or one of the doctors to assist you in resolving the issue.
If you still need to request your sicknote please e-mail familymedical@pretoriamedical.co.za and include which doctor you consulted and your file number or ID or birthday so the correct file can be drawn for doctor.
It saddens us however that you take on this matter in a public forum without first escalating the matter to the practise manager or facilities manager or one of the doctors to assist you in resolving the issue.
