We had a home burglary a couple of days ago and phoned Pro-Sec Technologies for help. They were fast to respond, but that was where their service stopped. They raced off “searching” for the culprit(s). The one guy came back 10 minutes later saying they have looked everywhere and couldn’t find anything. I was stunned. There is a long green belt behind us, and they were not in there looking. We knew the ***** ran off to the green belt as he left a trail of goods behind him, which WE found, not the security guys. It was not as if we had no idea in which direction the guy went or if he was in another suburb. We knew where he was, even though the green field is large, and there are easy exit points that could have been watched. He stood there looking relaxed and his job done. I said he is not being helpful and he said “what do you want me to do, search every shrub? You won’t get the goods back, it never happens, that’s just how it is”. If that is a security guard’s viewpoint then it makes sense that he won’t bother to try much. Another security guard from Pro-Sec also came back and said with a smirk “I hope that wasn’t your husband that just made a U-turn and drove into the kerb”. He said it as if he found it amusing. While my husband was frantically trying to get his laptop back, and in his panic damaged his car on top of having lost extremely important data. Added damage. And this man thought it funny! The guard then proceeded to make small talk about nothings, trying to chit-chat as if we were waiting for ice-cream. I was shocked, incredulous, and angry at their complete lack of care. When the police arrived, they irritatingly hang around as if important, only then discovering the stuff lying outside the back door that the ***** dropped in his haste. They are not security guards. They had no care, no respect for the situation or feelings of others. They want to LOOK the job, driving in the suburb a bit, but that’s that. Do not trust Pro-Sec Technologies to look after you, to care, or at least try to find culprits. They won’t. And then they will talk about the weather because what else do they have to do?

Five stars to Pro-Sec for their continued professional service they give me for my home and business security. Their technical staff are always on the ball when any of my systems have a fault and I get service within 24 hours, (though often within the hour). Their control room and armed response staff are professional and very fast to assist. They have clearly also invested a lot of time and money to have up to date and modern monitoring of alarms and cameras and compared to other security companies I have dealt with (even the big names) are streets ahead.

Five stars to Pro-Sec for their continued professional service they give me for my home and business security. I have always experienced amazing service from Pro-Sec, their staff is always friendly and willing to help and they always go the extra mile. When I decided to leave for the holidays there Controllers were super friendly when alarms went off for load shedding and the Armed Response did Extra patrols in my road which really goes above and beyond their mandate. 10/10 would recommend!

I have always experienced amazing service from Pro-Sec, their staff is always friendly and willing to help and they always go the extra mile. When I decided to leave for the holidays there Controllers were super friendly when alarms went off for load shedding and the Armed Response did Extra patrols in my road which really goes above and beyond their mandate. 10/10 would recommend!

07/12/2022 I had the unfortunate meeting with this company tonight. I was travelling down the M4 from Plumstead towards Constantia main rd (M41) while taking the left turn, a pro-sec vehicle approaching from the Wynberg side jumped in front of me nearly causing a collission. I hooted at the driver who promptly decided to ome to dead stop. as i tried to go around him, he accellerated trying to pin me in the oncoming traffic. I managed to pass him and he then proceeded to blast past me nearly hitting my car. He then procedd to brake in front of me. I passed him again and he then proceded to follow me by driving to the left of me or right on my rear bumper in an attempt to intimidate me. as we approached the Muizenberg M3 turn-off, he pulled into the right turn lane and shouted at me that "i will come Short!" what does pro-sec employ as the staff? I would like an explanation from prosec what this thug meant by that. at my destination, I called the prosec office @ 20H11. The person taht answered the phone suraya, aske dme where the incident happened and identified the thug as reagan. she said that she would report it in the morning and that i would be contacted in the morning... but she didnt ask foe my nmber. thats ok I don't expect anything from them. I hope suraya gave reagan the message.

I NOW Have NEGATIVE Thoughts Signing up with Pro-Sec Security! I joined Pro-Sec, plus minus, Two Years ago; Reason; I was not impressed with the Security Services that I belonged to at that time & desperately needed to cancel. As I told that reckless Security Services, upon Cancelling, I will now repeat to Pro-Sec; There’s a lot of Competition out there ,there’s way too many Competitors who are desperately seeking Customers! & Customers seek & only want the Best! My Story Upon joining Pro-Sec I was extremely impressed. The Services from both Office & Security Staff was exceptional. At the start, upon joining, I would rate their Services a Ten Plus. If I were to rate them now, it would be Plus Minus Ten! Here’s Why: The Services received from Pro Sec has sadly dropped rapidly over these past 6months. To mention only one of the many atrocious pathetic faults displayed/received from them: I would receive telephone calls at 3AM in the morning!!!! with their Nightshift wide awake staff asking ME, all Sleepy & Alarmed!!!! if I had pressed/alerted my Panic Button!!!! No PANIC BUTTON PRESSED ON MY SIDE!!! This occurred NOT ONCE, but on several occasions!! & ALWAYS early hours of the morning!!! Having me screaming & asking what the heck Pro-Sec’s problem was & why not send their Technical Team to check the Alarm System. Their Response: - “ Oh sorry, this happens to many customers due to load shedding 😳” & get ready for This! I will be charged, I WILL HAVE TO PAY IF A TECHNICIAN IS SENT TO MY PLACE TO CHECK THEIR FAULT??? This only has me more frantic, in a rage, now querying; Will this not have them, Pro-Sec Security, Highly confused regarding, When & If Customers are REALLY IN DANGER?? DO THEY SERIOUSLY CARE about the Customers Safety? Are our lives not in SERIOUS DANGER if they are “UNSURE ” due to the “many “ “unnecessary” panic alarm calls being received on their side?? Is there no way the problem can be fixed & Resolved BY THEM? We the CUSTOMERS are paying for Service/s NOT WELL Rendered!! Leaving US UNSAFE & UNPROTECTED with Pro-Sec? I am sure there are many Customers Like me , Left completely in doubt with ALL PRO-SEC’s uncer*****y pertaining to the way things are run systematically at their office! I was NOT WOKEN UP EARLY HOURS OF THE MORNING FOR FALSE ALARM/S DUE TO LOAD-SHEDDING & did not RECEIVE this Pathetic Services from the Wreck-less Security Company I cancelled Two Years Ago!!! Pro-Sec, WATCH, as said there’s MANY SECURITY SERVICES & MORE TO BE ESTABLISHED!!! START TAKING CARE OF YOUR EXISTING CUSTOMERS, IF YOU WANT THEM TO EXTEND THEIR CONTRACTS!!

I phoned on the 6 April to raise concern that we had several alarms over the past few weeks and it would take the vehicle anywhere from 12 - 17 minutes to arrive after the phone call from the control room. I was assured that there are patrols in the Plumstead area and it should not be taking this long. Samuel was in an ops meeting at the time and said he would phone me back once he had investigated and I never heard anything back from him. On 29 April 2016 our alarm went off at 7:40am, I received a call at 7:41 from the control room to say they would send a vehicle out. At 8:06 I phoned the control room back as I had not heard anything. I was told that the vehicle had not arrived as there was traffic. Clearly there is no vehicle in the area. The control room only phoned me again at 9:13 when the alarm went off again and never reported on the first incident. We had some changes done to our alarm on Monday to add sms notifications and the alarm triggered on 2 occasions during this time. The control room phoned me and I told them we are changing something on the alarm - they NEVER asked for a password and simply said "okay". The second time they called they at least asked for the password. This is extremely worrying to me as anyone could set the alarm off, take my phone and just say that they are working on the alarm. I do not believe there are any vehicles in our area and I wish to cancel my service with Pro-sec. I am NOT giving 1 months calendar notice as I raised my concerns earlier this month and haven't had any response or remedy to the problem. I haven't heard anything from pro-sec regarding my cancellation, the collection of their radio (not to mention the fact that their radio was disconnected - no one phoned to ask if everything is ok), or the refund of my monthly EFT and refundable deposit for the radio.
