<p>I live in a complex and more than a week ago I contacted Dominator Garage and Gate Systems, situated in Montagu Gardens, Cape Town, to organise a quote for both a neighbour and myself. The lady at reception, Bonita, could not have been more charming and helpful, especially as I requested the call-out to be after 3 as my neighbour worked. I also requested a sample block of the garage door. I am told a Jason would contact me to organise a time. A couple of days later, no call from Jason. I put through another call and am told that they have me slotted for after 3 p.m. today 9th September. I phone this morning to confirm that they have the details and that they will be here AFTER 3 pm as requested and not before. No problem says Bonita but not Jason someone else. I get home at 2.30 to find, via my char, that the salesperson who was to do the quote and drop off the sample, has been and gone. Another phone call to Bonita who confirms that she gave them the instructions and request. I point out that my quotation is totally different to that of my neighbour who is now rushing to get here in time. Bonita says she will call them and call me back. But asks for my contact details because she has possibly thrown them away!!! Her next call to me goes something like this: I have spoken to them and they say that if you have any questions you can call them and they will answer them over the phone!!!! Obviously they don't need sales and have now lost out on replacing two garage doors as we will go with the opposition. Apparently Dominator sales staff stop working at 2.30 on a Friday afternoon. They very obviously do not work on commision either. This sort of service and customer care is appalling.</p>
