I would to complement Chad Lewis a very friendly young professional. Well done and keep up the good work
Good Day, I purchased nine Astrum branded USB sound cards from Astrum Peripherals in Durban on the 23rd of April, on the 25th of April I call Astrum and spoke to the receptionist and I advised here that four of the nine USB sound cards were defective. I went to Astrum and was advised by the receptionist that Astrum cannot replace the faulty products as I did not have the original packaging , she then booked all four sound cards in for testing. On the 9th of May I called Astrum Peripherals spoke to the receptionist and I enquired about the sound cards, she then told me that the technician checked all four sound cards and found no faults. I went to Astrum picked up the Sound Cards and and found them to still be defective. I initially bought nine so I swapped the USB sound cards in between PC's to fault find, my IT technician and I found that four of the sound cards were indeed faulty as reported initially. I then called Astrum and the receptionist gave me her bosses number. I spoke to him and after pleading my case to him he then called the receptionist and asked to swap the four faulty USB sound cards. The next day the 10th of May I return to Astrum Peripherals and collect the 4 new sound cards, which the receptionist opened out of the packaging and handed to me, the reason behind this was that I didn't return the defective products in packaging. Returning to my office my IT technician and I found that three of the four "new" sound cards were still defective. We proceeded to fault find and indeed 3 of the four were defective. I tried calling and messaging the "boss" at Astrum and he never answered or replied to my messages. Today the 14th of May I return to Astrum Peripherals and ask for a refund or exchange of the product . The receptionist called her boss who asked her to tell me that they cannot return/replace or refund the product, the receptionist then told me that I didn't return the product in original packaging so there's no guarantee. I walked out of the store and then called the "boss" who told me to "get lost" as the defective product is not his problem. I am not his customer. He then cut the call and never took my calls again. I offered numerous times to bring my PC's to Astrum so that they can check that the fault is with their device and not my PC's. I have now made ten 40km return trips to Astrum Peripherals and I still have 3 defective products. The lack of respect for customers from the receptionist and the "boss" was not justified or warranted I believe the CPA should protect me and others in such situations. The" boss" had no respect for me as a customer. Very sad, fustrating experience !!!
