I've had numerous issues with Pick n Pay Kokstad for years now. Their service is shocking and they have the unfriendliest cashiers in South Africa! Today was just the last straw and after phoning customer services I'm done with Pick up Pay. I bought a dress at Pick up Pay Shelly beach and after getting home realised that the dress had a problem with the neckline stitching, I decided to return it to my local store. After I was told that the clothing department manager was on leave and had to come back the following Wednesday by the frontline manager. Or I must return the item to the store I bought it from. I found this unprofessional and unacceptable. So I called customer services and they informed me that if you buy something at one Pick n Pay and want to return or exchange it at another that its up to the stores manager to decide if they will do it for you or not. This is unacceptable for a nation wide group like Pick n Pay to expect customers to return items to the same store it was bought from. So if I buy something in Cape Town on holiday and need to return the item after returning home in Kokstad I have to go back to the Cpae Town store...... this is ridiculous!
Think twice before you purchase the Micros POS system for your business .It is totally useless for privately owned restaurants that are not franchised. You would need your own support team to make it functional (like all the franchises have). Don't get fooled by their sales pitch its a total lie......
