My friends and I had booked in January for the Bee Gees Concert at Sibaya for the 1st of April and at the same time we booked at The Butcher Block. So the booking was made at least two months prior. So I had a booking at the Butcher Block Sibaya restaurant, and we arrived at 5:30. Our booking was for 6pm. Firstly they couldn’t find our booking and then the waitron showed us to two tables. When we chose a table another waitron came and told us that table was for reservations only. I told her we had a reservation. My friends and I were then led to a table, we sat there for 20 minutes until another waitress, not our waitress, arrived to take our drinks order, nevertheless we ordered our drinks and meals at the same time to speed up the process, as we had a show to go to. We waited for another 20 minutes before our drinks could come to us. We then waited for another half hour and noticed our food had not arrived yet. This is now almost an hour since we have placed the order. We complained to the waitress who was not supposed to be our waitress and was now serving our table. She told us our food was now third in line. Still no food one hour and fifteen minutes after placing our order. I then went to look for the manager because our waitress was busy serving other customers with their meals who had arrived at the restaurant after us. I found the manager and advised him we had been waiting for over an hour for our meals, he then followed me to my table as he needed to see where we were seated. He told us our food was third in line still. Anyway our food came 10 minutes later. An hour and a half after first ordering. The manager mentioned that they were short staffed and two of the managers were in the kitchen cooking. Well we could tell - we ordered 3 medium rare 200g ladies steaks which came totally well done with chips and sauce. No sauce ever arrived. Our 4th person in the party order the half chicken prawn combo. She tried to eat the prawns but said they were not coming out the shell and tasted weird and the chicken tasted like it had just been defrosted. We sent her meal back as it was totally inedible. Now bear in mind the manager agreed to take this last dish off the bill and we paid R1500 for three 200g very well done horrible steaks and some chips and one bottle of wine. We don’t mind paying for good food but this was ridiculous for what we got! We only just arrived with 5 minutes to spare at a show that started at 8pm. Now today the person who ordered the chicken and prawn combo has food poisoning. We told the manager we will never return to Sibaya Butcher block, some of our friends were all the way from Kloof which is an hours drive away. I cannot believe that the Butcher Block will keep this restaurant at Sibaya in their franchise as it is bringing the name of your company down. We are all totally horrified.

I have been trying for the past three years to get a wifi unit for my home. I applied via the call centre and waited months but heard nothing. When I phoned and got a call centre agent I was on the line for almost an hour and she came back and said my application was declined but she did not know why. She said she would phone that department and get back to me but it would not take just a day, it would be a few days. Again I waited months and phoned back only to get another call centre agent and the same story from them. I decided to just leave it as it was now beyond a joke. Recently a Telkom opened up in the La Lucia Mall and I decided to give it another try. I told them what had happened previously and they told me to fill in another form and that they would personally phone me to let me know what was going on. Well alas I heard nothing back from them either. I sent them an email at La Lucia as I had sent them copies of my bank statements when I got home and they responded with another application form and asked for updated bank statements and copy of ID which I had given them when I had applied in their store. I didn't respond to that email as that would be the fourth application I had filled in. I have never in my life experienced such incompetence, and will never again look to Telkom to provide me with anything. Thank goodness there are competitors in the market who treat their customers well.

My cell phone went missing at OR Tambo airport on Wednesday the 7th of September and I realised it was missing after catching the SAA bus to my BA flight to Durban. BA 6219. I told the air steward and they phoned someone who came to fetch me from the plane and I ran around tracing my steps, but no phone. So I went back to the plane. As the doors had closed the air steward brought his phone to me, and there was a man from SAA by the name of Mishak, who said he had my phone, well he was phoning from my number that I could see. He told me he would leave my phone at Terminal B SAA domestic office for me and gave me a reference number to collect. He said that I would have to send a courier to collect it. Yesterday the courier arrived at the airport, and the office they went to said that had never heard of that reference number, and that they were at the wrong office. I then phoned SAA and spoke to Segokelo on ********** . She told me the office was closed but that the phone was at SAA Baggage Services Terminal B (Arrivals) in the safe, and that I could send the courier to collect it today. The courier has been running around Jhb airport since 09h00 this morning and it is now 11h38. Segokelo is not there today, and nobody knows which office has the phone. This is the most maddening experience I have ever had. Nobody knows what is going on, and it is no surprise that I hate travelling SAA. No one is ever there and SAA wont courier back to you even if you are willing to pay. You have to send the courier yourself, but noone knows where to collect. Well we have wasted 2 days at the airport waiting in queues for nothing. I am at my wits end and just want to know how to get my cell phone back. Really SAA this is a joke!
