Hi Everyone, Norbet autos is completely bad news, do not even think about buying a car at this dealership no matter how legit or convincing these individuals may present themselves as they are complete crooks. I am seeking consumer protection and below is my story. Thank you for your attention. I purchased a used car, 116i BMW, from the dealership “Norbert Autos” on the 29th of December 2018. The sales personnel advised me that car is “accident free” and the “motor plan” is available as well as the car had "full service history" and had never been in an accident, and further to this they told me, it is a “bank repo” vehicle. I queried about the flashing light on the dashboard upon testing to which he responded that it was a seat belt light. I went on to purchase the vehicle and notified the dealer that I will be taking it to BMW for motor warranty transfer and to get inspection to ensure that the car is 100%. They agreed that everything would be fine at BMW. The lying and deceiving sales man Mike further mentioned that if I had any issues I could bring it back. I drove the car for one day parked it for a week and on the second day of me driving the car the following week the car completely stopped at a high traffic intersection and could not move due to an ignition problem. Thankfully BMW came to the rescue and had the car taken to the dealership. I had already booked the car in for inspection the same Friday but the break down happened before I was even able to take it in for evaluation. I paid the Norbet autos R140000 on the 29th of December with an outstanding balance of 10000 and settled the balance on the 2nd of Jan so I could get the motor warranty transfer as they needed the vehicle to be under my name so they could start working on it. I finally received the papers and arrived at BMW on the morning of the 8th of Jan and the helpful agents at BMW Advised me that the car was in a massive accident airbags were deployed, the whole car was repainted incorrectly. The battery was not a BMW battery the car had on pirate light and was not repaired at an Approved BMW panel beater thus all the problems. They further mentioned that the warranty would also immediately fall away. The dashboard and lower carpets were also not fitted correctly. When it came to my knowledge that the car has no motor plan and it was involved in an accident from BMW, I then went to the Norbet autos to make them aware of this situation and requested a refund and that they collect the car from the BMW as it will need to be towed. They then fought with me and refused to pay me a refund of my 150000 that I paid for the vehicle. I am now stranded with no car and with a 1h 45m commute daily to work which has now doubled due to me having to catch taxi's. They were deceptive in that the lied to me and left me in a desperate state and without transport that I have no alternative but to seek your assistance and help in this regard. Please stay away from these crooks Norbet autos is complete bad new. Looking forward to receiving your help.
