<p>I have received a call from a MTN consultant few months ago (service champion as they call themselves) Selling the mobile plus deal where you receive a mini tablet and a Nokia Microsoft Lumia for R199 a month. I first hesitated to accept the offer, but I made up my mind as I have been using Vodacom for a decade and there is no harm to try another service provider. I accepted the offer and the two phones were posted to me. After the first month instalment of R199. MTN deducted over R450 on the second month. I called back to ask why is my instalment higher than the agreed amount, the consultant advised that there is no limit on my account. I immediately request the consultant to reduce my limit to zero. The consultant confirm that she action my Account and the limit was now set to zero.</p> <p>A friend that used MTN before warned me that sometime the consultant does not cape the credit limit to zero, he explained how to go on my phone and reduce my limit. Surprisingly I discover that my limit was not caped. I did what was necessary and caped my limit. Another incident occurs where after only 2 months, the nokia Lumia start giving me softer issue where the screen was totally blank. I sent the phone to the MTN shop and never get it back until now.</p> <p>The deduction on the other end continue to increase above the agreed instalment even though I don’t have the contract phone. Last month MTN deducted over R400. I went in the FNB branch and reversed the total the transaction. Awaiting for MTN to contact, however no contact was received from MTN to find out why the instalment was reversed. This month of October MTN deducted R537 from my account again.</p> <p>The Nokia that was sent for repair never returned back.</p> <p>I have attempted to make several calls where agents are dropping calls or putting me on mute.</p> <p>Thanks to Zineo or took time to listen to my frustration and log a complaint for further investigation and provided me with the reference number.</p> <p>I am requesting a proper investigation on all the calls that I have made requesting MTN to be listened into and proper action to be taken. I have incurred charges due to MTN deducting what He shouldn’t have. I am reversing all transaction as I did not give permission to MTN to deduct more than the agreed amount unless we come to an agreement again am very disappointed with MTN services and I will not recommend any one to accept any offer that those consultant are calling you for.</p> <p>Be careful friends! You will end up paying more then you expected.</p> <p> </p>
