This past week I tried making an online Spa booking for the weekend, however, I was unable to process everything as I needed to online. I opted to call in, but that also didn’t work as none of my calls were answered. I decided to drive past Pont de Val Spa to make this Spa booking as I was headed towards that side in any event. Fortunately, the lady at the Spa was able to assist me & she suggested that the earliest available time was Monday, 01st May 2023 at 13:30pm. I agreed to this booking & was asked to make payment to secure my booking of which I did. To my surprise, on Monday morning; the same lady who assisted me with making the booking called to let me know that they can no longer accommodate me at the scheduled time of 13:30pm & request I rather come an hour later at 14:30pm. I informed the lady that it wouldn’t be possible as I already have plans later on that day & I am not staying around the area so will need to go back to my residence in Jhb at that time. I told her if they cannot accommodate me then they should rather refund me. The lady (Palesa) subsequently said no she will inform her manager that they cannot move my appointment anymore & the call ended. I then made my way to the Spa (30-40 minutes) before the scheduled time and was welcomed accordingly. At about 15minutes before my appointment, I enquired with Palesa when will I be getting the Spa forms to complete since she had initially said I should arrive 15minutes before my appointment to sort out all the admin thereof. She then told me to just wait a bit the Spa ladies will call me soon to complete the forms. At about 13:35pm, I went to her again to ask what the delay is about. Eventually the Spa ladies gave me a form to start completing (still taking their time) and I asked the Spa ladies to please hurry up as my appointment was supposed to start at 13:30pm. To my surprise, the Spa lady said I will have to wait for a room to be available as it’s already fully booked. I asked her to please rather call the Manager since I already told them earlier that I cannot wait another hour for my appointment. After a few minutes the Manager (Fortune) appeared & tried to convince me otherwise. I blatantly refused & after much back & forth I requested a refund. Fortune assured me I will get my refund by Tuesday, 2nd of May. Palesa even sent me an email to this effect. Needless to say, Tuesday came & past by without my refund. I called the Spa & was told that the refund will be in my account on Wednesday, 3rd of May. It’s now 20:41pm, on Wednesday the 3rd of May & I still don’t have my refund. I am so disgusted at the lack of professionalism displayed by Pont de Val Spa and it’s employees. They have no consideration/respect for people’s time. I urge anyone to not even support this business.
Please do yourself a favour and never ever purchase anything from Trendysecrets by Ipssy. She and her entire team have no regard for customers unless you’re an influencer. I purchased a dress a month ago and was told it would take two weeks. When I followed-up two weeks later, I was taken from pillar to post, fed one lie after another until I had to call her every other day for my order. You literally have to beg for your order as if you didn’t pay. She’s extremely condescending and rude on phone calls. I received my order more than a month later and even the fabric used isn’t what was advertised on her pathetic website. It is so disappointing when we try to support black female owned companies only to be given such service. If there was a way of giving them a -1000000 rating, I wouldn’t even hesitate.
