I was stationary at a red traffic light when a 20 year old client of Hollard's who had his license for a couple of months, came crashing into my car at high speed. The damage to my car with significant. I got two quotes which both estimated the repair at being between at R85 000 and R86 000 respectively. I was offered an initial sum of about R8000 from Hollard for my damage! A Hollard manager (whom I will name if this is not addressed), told me that this was because I was partially to blame - even though the client admitted liability when reporting the case to the police! Immediately after complaining, i was offered a sum of about R32 000, still less than half of the quotes for damage. I gone back the repair services and they have confirmed that this amount is way below the damage to my vehicle and is quite frankly, ridiculous. As a business, Hollard clearly does not believe in ethics, they're just hoping to make a quick buck, without caring about integrity and what is fair and just. If they do not address this mater, I will be reporting them to the ombudsman for insurance. Do NOT use Hollard - take a stand and say no to business practice that is not fair and just!

For replacing a switch that had fallen off the lighting pad, fixing a faulty switch and changing some light bulbs, I was charged a whopping R6676,66 Avoid this company like the plague, they will bleed you dry.
<p><br />I have been using Camelot Kennels to house my dog during the course of 2016 whenever we are away from home - becoming a committed and relatively regular customer. Let me say upfront that if you make a booking at the kennels and your circumstances change and you need to cancel, you will get nothing of your deposit back. Something that I accepted. Where things went horribly awry was when I booked my dog in over the Christmas period a good 2 months in advance. I paid my deposit. Then according to the owner, I made the HUGE sin of not reading the small print which said that I had to pay the full amount by a certain date. On a Monday, I got a call from the kennels to say that I needed to pay the full amount. I indicated that I had not been aware of this, but would happily do so. I also explained that it was a very stressful work day for me and please could I sort it out by the next day. On the next day, I was in back- to- back meetings until around 13h00. I saw that the kennels had tried to call me during the course of the morning. Imagine the shock of then reading an email from the kennel saying that because they could not reach me, my booking was cancelled and given to someone else and that I would lose my deposit. I called the owner to explain that the woman who had called me had told me that I could sort it out on the Tuesday and that the day was far from over. I was told that this person denied saying this (making me in effect a liar), that I had no written proof and basically instead of trying to professionally resolve the situation, I was given a long, rude tirade about how I should see things from their persepctive - they can take on other clients etc etc. The truly shocking thing was when I was made out to be a problem client, one who didn't asnswer her phone and who couldn't be bothered to read the fine print and that there was no way that they would refund my deposit. All of this happened after my dog had just been with them for the weekend, an odd way to treat a regular client who has never not paid. I will never use them again - the focus on the greed for money at the expense of all else is just really sad.</p> <p><br />___________________________________________________________________________ ___________________</p>
