I have recently an fnb client since 2015, and have been relatively happy with the service so far. I am going to study this year, to become a Doctor. I took all my documentation to my Eldoraigne branch of fnb, only to be told, the system won't allow me to get a student account, even though I am 24, I will be studying a MBChB at tuks, I won't have an income, and I already have a gold account. Instead I should get an easy account. If that is fnb idea of service, I'm sure Standard Bank would enjoy helping me with a student account, and also benefit from when I am qualified one day
Hi got a knee brace prescribed to me, to prevent a knee injury to the acl I had repaired last year. Discovery now refuses to pay out or even consider reimbur*****t of any sort, my claim has been turned down. This brace was very expensive, and was supposed to be paid out of my savings. I cannot understand how you simply refuse to reimburse anything and also claim it is not an external medical device. It's extremely frustrating as there is endless red tape, had I known all of this, I would have rather ordered the brace through the supplier at a much lower cost!
<p>Last year I tore my acl last year, I spent a lot of my own money paying for physio and bio so that I could get active again. When I was playing hockey I almost retore it. The doctor and my physio decided it would be best for me to get a proper acl brace that will give me the freedom to play any direction change sport, and will protect my knee. I work for a medical company that happens to import djo, so I could have ordered my own brace through djo in the USA, but I decided to rather use an orthotist in Pta, that would give me the brace at discovery approved rate. Of course not I am being charged almost double what I could have gotten it for, and discovery will not pay out, not even out of my medical aid savings... I am very disappointed, I could have paid 4000 for it, now I am sitting with a 9000 bill which discovery was supposed to pay out of my savings. Discovery please help me out, you cannot just tell me this is not covered. You don't cover sports braces on any of your plans </p>
<p>I purchased a cell phone from the orange store on Monday, after being told by the website 2 were in stock in RSA and it would take 2 days . Of course once I placed my order it took 24 hrs to process after I had already paid. And then got told it will not take 6 days. Then a consultant said 8. Last night I received an email from Orange stating their Sa store is closed and will be taken over by CTDI. No mention of current purchases being processed, no way to track my order , and no one will give me information. Please cancel my order </p>
