We had a HiSense fridge (a new one - bought in December 2022) stop working in July 2023 due to faulty parts of the fridge (confirmed not due to loadshedding). While nervous to go with HiSense again, HiSense agreed to replace the fridge AFTER a technician had been out to assess and report. All fine so far. HiSense agreed to replace the fridge once the technician returned his report. The real issue I have with HiSense is that it took them 4 days to dispatch a technician (when their policy states 2-3) to actually diagnose the problem. No amount of contacting them ever got them to confirm why it was taking so long - nevermind that I begged with them to expedited it because of all of the food in the refrigerator and medicines that need to be kept in the fridge. I am wholly disgusted with their customer service around this. You would think that given that they messed up the technician callout and couldn't seem to escalate this as more important than say, a washing machine, even though they said they had escalated it they would be willing to pay for (or at least something towards) all the spoilt food and medicines. I have emailed (multiple times about this - to both their general email and to management at HiSense that I have managed to track down on LinkedIn and no response - at all). I will certainly think twice about using HiSense again and have stopped recommending them to colleagues and family.

Let me be very clear, my gripe is not with the Artscape Theater, per se, but rather with Pieter Toerien Productions - who is running their production of Annie at the Artscape at the moment (but Artscpae is the only entity on Hello Peter to which I can hook my gripe).

Be very sure when purchasing tickets to Annie that you scroll waaaaaay down on the page, and click on every to link to actually see the important information that "no under 5s allowed at evening performances". I recently purchased tickets to Annie, and only say that nugget of information once I clicked on the link to print my tickets. Age restriction information really is buried on the site and not prominent at all. So, of course, I can no longer go because the whole point of going to Annie was so as to be able to take my young daughter - who is three - and begin a tradition of going to a production at Christmas time. I call to get a refund, only to be told that I can only be refunded 50% of my purchase prince. 50% - that's daylight robbery - especially when there is ample time to resell the tickets. So, let this experience be a warning to others - be very careful when buying tickets to a Pieter Toerien Production - they con you out of money nicely!
