I had a bad experience with one of the technicians at the Paarl dealership. After troubleshooting to identify the issue, he advised me on what parts to purchase. I followed his advice and bought the recommended items. I gave him the parts, and he fitted them into my car as he had instructed. When it came time to pay, he asked me to bring cash instead of making an electronic payment. I met him at a garage, withdrew the money, and handed it to him. Thereafter the car seemed fine. However, less than a month later, my car broke down again because some parts, which I had purchased, were not properly fitted. He had replaced some of the parts with old ones, which caused more issues. I sent him several messages, but he kept making excuses and never followed up properly. Eventually, I had to call his workplace to get in touch with him. When he finally came to check my car again, he found that the valves were damaged due to an old pulley and bolt that he had fitted loosely. He said he would get the necessary parts, but I’m unsure where he sourced them from. When he returned, the items were in sealed packages, but they didn’t seem like parts you'd get from a reputable supplier. He fitted the parts, brought a cylinder head with him, and took mine. Since then, I have not seen the original cylinder head, and the car still has issues. The major fault was never properly addressed, and I have been pleading with him to resolve the matter. I've tried reaching out to his workplace again, as he has ignored my calls and messages, and still hasn't returned my cylinder head. Additionally, my oil pump has now failed, and I suspect he may have swapped that part out as well. I would like Paarl Volkswagen to address this issue with the employee, as he initially visited with company resources to inspect my car. I paid him a significant amount of money, yet my car continues to have problems. I request that this matter be handled urgently.
The management team of the daycare decided to close the front gate so all parents must use the back gate. I do understand that the decision was made for the safety of children but there's other dangers they did not think of when this decision was made. The back gate is very far from the drop zone for parents using the public transport and its not safe. When I enrolled my child the front gate was used to enter the premises, now the board decided that the gate will no longer be used without concerning the parents. Since the road to the back gate is dangerous the daycare will be held responsible for any harm that might come to the parents taking their children to the daycare or picking them up from the daycare.
