We recently stayed at Phalaborwa Town Guesthouse and, unfortunately, had a very disappointing experience. As a team that travels across South Africa frequently, we’ve stayed in a wide range of accommodations — but this one fell far below acceptable standards. The condition of the rooms and facilities was not what was advertised or expected. We encountered several issues, including dirty appliances and surfaces, worn-out bedding and curtains, and an overall lack of cleanliness and upkeep throughout the property. What made the experience even more frustrating was the way our concerns were handled. We tried to resolve the matter privately and respectfully, giving the guesthouse the opportunity to correct the situation and process a refund for the unused nights. Unfortunately, we were met with poor communication and no meaningful resolution. We’re sharing this review not out of spite, but in the hope that it brings awareness to the standard of service and accommodation provided — and encourages the establishment to make the necessary improvements for future guests. We are owed R 21 000. This is a unacceptable situation. We have photos to attach so please advise
Initially when I got the rental at OR Tambo I had no hassle. After a month I had to take the car in for an inspection before the renewal for the next 30 days, for the same vehicle. This was slightly over the 30 day period but nobody was too perturbed. So I took the rental to the Kruger International Airport just outside Nelspruit, One of the Thrifty personnel spent 5 minutes inspecting the vehicle, by walking around the vehicle and checking the odometer. This took exactly 5 minutes. I rented the vehicle for another two weeks, with the knowledge that there was no Thrifty branch other than Nelspruit or Pretoria on my ongoing journey, So needless to say after another extension of two weeks, I knew I would have to renew the contract. So head office was contacted by me and I explained that we travel the country on our Mobile Mammography Screening Unit, and seeing as we are in Hoedspruit and would have to travel all the way to Nelspruit for the inspection, could there be any way of doing this virtually or to get an Avis or Europa agent to do the inspection for them. A women alone on that dreadful road for 3 hours for a 5 minute inspection and then back seemed ludicrous. So the lady at Head Office that I now were on first name basis seemed to have this under control as well as the issue of the double payment and refund to me that was now long overdue. All was well until the BRANCH MANAGER, TAFFY, at Kruger International Branch got on the line. He was just plain arrogant and rude. Did not budge on maybe accommodating me in any way. For goodness sake, companies were doing virtual conferences during Covid and I had to drive to Nelspruit, a three hour drive for a 5 minute inspection. Well this was the end of my company and Thrifty, We spent well over R33 000 on this rental vehicle over two months. Surely listening to your customer and understanding their circumstances should be high on the list of priorities as a Branch Manager. And to then send me a threatening email about putting this car into "recovery" if it was not delivered to Nelspruit by Friday. Drop the attitude and be of service to your clients. And remember the basics - THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT. ,

Get refunded for half amount as I wanted to cancel. </p> <p>But 19 December 2016, many phone calls, visits to post office and frustration I still have no product.</p> <p>Stephanie, foreign lady at helpline was the end for today. I apparantly like ALL their other customers must beable to get my product at my local post office with my name OR shipping number as they do not work with tracking numbers.</p> <p>I am at a dead end. There is no other number except this helpline that is manned by forgeiners, no email address? At my witt's end. </p> <p>Will never order another thing except shoes form Zando on the internet. That is an online shopping experience that is only but a pleasure</p> <p> </p>
