RCE electrical Strand came out to install a new gate motor in Feb 2025. Due to the poor quality of workmanship, the motor failed and no longer operates. We tried for 3 months to get them out to assess the problem but to no avail. The owner did not honour the agreed upon appointment with us. We requested that our deposit be returned to us, but they refused. We have taken legal action against the company and owner and informed our insurance company of this matter.
We had a new gate motor supp**** and fitted by RCE Electrical in February 2025. We received poor service, poor communication, poor workmanship and a total lack of interest from this company. Ashley the junior technician did a poor job of installing the motor - his wife Charne did a poor job in communicating with us. Marlo the manager delivered poor service as well as Renier Smith the owner of RCE Electrical who did not even attend the agreed meeting with us. Due to poor workmanship the motor failed and no longer operates - after waiting 3 months for them to come back to assess the issue. We requested that our deposit be returned to us and that they remove the gate motor. We have taken legal action against Renier Smith and RCE Electrical and reported them to our Insurance company for future reference.

After a long wait to have my excess paid by the other party... it came through at just the right time. I did however lose my Outbonus and felt disappointed as the fender bender was not my fault... i was knocked from behind at a Stop sign. Still very happy to Always Get Something Out!
