We went to the Fat Buther in Stellenbosch in April this year for my 13-year-old son's birthday. What a great experience. Great service, great steaks and food. Can definitely recommend for a unique experience.
Santam was the insurers for a claim I had for damage to my roof after the storm in Stellenbosch about a month ago. They appointed Peninsula Building Repairs (PBR) as the contractor to repair the damage to my tiled roof. The same day the claim was registered with the insurers I received a call from Marius Geldenhuys from PBR and he made an appointment to assess the damage to provide the insurers with a quote. The next day he was at my house, at the time he said he would meet me there, to assess the damage for the quote. The quote was approved by the insurers and PBR contacted me and arranged for a day to perform the repairs. They came and performed the work, which was completed in one day. They did an excellent job. All in all, from the day they performed the quote to when they came to complete the repairs, was one week. I am so impressed with their service and the quality of the work they performed, that I will use them again for renovations I need to perform at my house in Stellenbosch. Thank you, Peninsula Building Repairs team, and especially Marius who performed the damage assessment and the quote. The process to register the claim was seamless and the communication from the Santam's consultant (Kagiso Mahlatji) and their Assessor (Pulane Bawela) were excellent from start to finish. The contractor they appointed, Peninsula Builders, did an excellent job. Thank you for this great service, as one hears so many bad stories about insurers’ push-back when it comes to claim time.
