<p>Dont EVER use Aaaaanother 1st Electrical & Plumbing</p> <p> </p> <p>They also trade under</p> <p> </p> <p>www.plumberscapetown.co.za</p> <p>www.another1st.co.za</p> <p>www.electricians247.co.za</p> <p>www.plumbing247.co.za</p> <p>www.electriciansincapetown.co.za</p> <p>www.plumbersincapetown.co.za</p> <p> </p> <p>and probably a host of other con names</p> <p> </p> <p>Probably the most ethical plumbing & electrical business I have ever dealt with</p> <p> </p> <p>Story</p> <p> </p> <p>My geyser stopped producing hot water - I googled for a Plumbing company in Cape Town CBD and Plumbers Cape Town came up (www.plumberscapetown.co.za)- I called through an arranged for someone to come through to look at my geyser.</p> <p> </p> <p>Two Guys came through - told me that my element and thermostat needed to be replaced - I told them that I'm happy to get them replaced as I have done it before at another apartment, expecting the price to range between R1300 - R1750</p> <p> </p> <p>They never told me the cost involved at any stage, the main plumber went to go get a new element from the hardware store as he said it would save time, while he was away, the other plumber finished draining my geyser, once the main plumber arrived back, he installed the new element and thermostat which took 5mins</p> <p> </p> <p>When they finished up the main plumber went to his car to get his invoice book, and proceeded to write an invoice for a total of R4269 and then proceeded to tell me I had to pay immediately while they stood in my flat, feeling very uncomfortable, I reluctantly made the payment - I felt absolutely robbed.</p> <p> </p> <p>Then the main plumber said that I mustn't switch on the geyser until I have an electrician come check the electrical circuit, he told me he knows someone very affordable, so now im between a rock and a hard place, I've just paid 2.5 x more than what I should have been charged and then being told I can't use the geyser - anyhow the Electrician came (ended up being from the same company) and charged me R1100 to change a switch that supplied power to the geyser (absolute con) - once again I had to make payment immediately</p> <p> </p> <p>I called to speak to the owner of the company (Jade Smith) to tell him I feel like my rights as a consumer have been violated (I paid +- R5369.40 for the most simple plumbing job), he started arguing with me and hold me that he would get back to me, I have since called into the their offices another 4 times, they are yet to get back to me.</p> <p> </p> <p>Dont ever use their services - they con artists </p>
