On 6 July 2018 I visited a branch to close my accounts. The consultant, Marcellina Jacobs, had me sign all paperwork and confirmed that everything will be done by the next Monday. On Monday the 16th the accounts were still active and I went back to the same consultant who advised me that I needed to deposit R2 (????) to the account as there is an outstanding amount for a proof of payment. Did that. On the 19th the account has still not been closed and I was told that another deposit of R60 (????) is required (no mention of this previously). I deposited the new amount on the same day only to be told there's another amount of 95c. No activity took place within this account and the branch simply does not close it as per signed documentation. I've been phoning customer care and lodged a complaint with the relevant dept but nothing gets done. This is exactly why I'm closing the accounts in the first place because no one does their ****** job!!
