I have a problem with standard bank, my late husband's money was sent by momentum to standard bank to take care of my kids, but ever since they have never put the correct amount of money for the kids in time, the money is always R2500 short and I have to call them and send email to them and they will never get back to you, I will end up getting the money late, the money for February I got it after 24 March and April money is still short but everything is in writing and I have telephonic calls with the lady handling this issue and her name is Sesi. The money for the kids is supposed to be as follows: Budlelwane R2000, Bungcwalisa R3000 and Shalom R3000 but every month I have a burden of reminding them that the money for the kids is short, i am tired of this, if this bank does not want to help my kids, they must send the money back to momentum. I have proofs of each conversation and they record their calls

I can't pay a beneficiary, because they must send me a authentication to my phone. I did resend for more than 18 times. I then call the customer care line. The prompts lead me to a point where it says I must follow the on screen prompt's. Nothing came through. Called back and was then told by a consultant that They can't deal with that problem they will put me through to another department but tells me it's ***** it would be better to call again. I have been at this for over an hour now.

I received a transfer of R159 from My girlfriend on the 28 April 2026 and they block my account and no i have no access to my funds cant pay my accounts they are with holding ove R2000 of my money for a payment of R159.00. The only responce i get is please contact our ***** department. You can talk to any one that is investigating the case as there is just an email that they give you *****opsinvestigation@standardbank.co.za and that sends you an automated response saying this can take 6 to 8 weeks just get a response. I can prove that the transaction was not *****ulent but no one is will or seems to be able to assist. I now have no access to my funds but they sure can take bank charges out my money.

I've been with Standard bank for môre than 20 years. What a let down. My card expired in May 2026. On the 20th of April 2026 it started declining because it is expiring. Went to the bank, they don't have my new card. So I had no other option but to use my credit card. Went online and chatted to an agent, she couldn't help me either. She couldn't tell me where my new card is either. Then I preeced to sent an email to the complaints department. It's been a week, no one is helping me. Sent another email, only to get a reply that their inbox is full! What a disgrace! It's 6 May 2026 today and I still don't have a new card.

Sadly this bank who I have entrusted for over 45 years has shown it is now too big to care . I really needed backing and they threw "The book of rules at me" I am a pensioner and I needed to sell my motor vehicle in order to help pay for my wife's cancer treatment .The buyer paid cash into my account unknowingly after hours at an autobank and immediately I was charged cash deposit fee.(+- R2600.00) I needed every cent of this money and although I immediately alerted my bank the very next day they just told me it is policy they cannot reimburse I explained I really needed this money and went into detail about my wife's condition(ie stage 4 breast cancer which has spread all over her body,it has been a four year journey) They responded they would hold my banking fees for 3 months which equated to about a quarter of the cash deposit fee. What was also interesting was they did not respond to any of my e mails they only called via telecon. What is really sad is a Bank is not bricks and mortar it is about people and management ethics and care and perhaps sometimes at their discretion going the extra mile case by case. I helped build them to what they are today in a small way "
