eDreams are a bunch of con artists and I am going to rub their name in the dirt forever. I booked a return ticket from Cape Town to Lanseria in JHB. I had to fly with Fly Safair, and eDreams came up as the booking agent. Next thing the charges come up in Euros’, so I cancelled & started again. Euros’ came up again? I thought that it would be okay as the exchange rate should even things out. By the end of the reservation the only thing I wasn’t charged for was the air I breathe and the total fare worked out to R6300. If I’d flown Lift to OR Tambo I would have paid R4400. EDreams are a bunch of con artists who don’t deserve to be active in SA, and will never hear from me again, and I will bad mouth them whenever I can. Shame on you eDreams……..Bye 👋
I have banked with Standard since 1982 where I opened my first account in Plettenberg Bay. I think the bank only has my records from 1993? The bank has grown the biggest in SA, and I would like to compliment them on the ongoing improvements they are making with their rise to the biggest bank in SA. Keep up the good work, Standard Bank and keep the improvements coming!!
I was fooled by the eDreams website. I went in there to book a flight to and from Johannesburg, from Cape Town. I was quizzical when I noticed that everything on the South African dashboard was in Euros. I didn't worry too much as I thought it would correct itself. Thereafter my biggest concern was that for everything that I wanted to do from waking up for my flight, was charged for. You get charged for everything from selecting your seat to everything else you do. I simply continued, as I thought everything will sort itself out at the end. For info, I had got a quote for my return flight on Lift which came out at R4650. However Lift don't fly to Lanseria, so I opted for for eDreams & Fly Safair. Having completed the flight booking in Euros, it eventually brought me to the payment line, and then all of a sudden the net price came in at SA Rands of R6200. Unfortunately I had paid for the flights. I have travelled from Cape Town to Johannesburg and return, on numerous occasions and have never in all time paid more than R5000 return. EDREAMS CERTAINLY CONSTITUTE THE BIGGEST RIPOFF OF ALL TIME THAT I HAVE EVER COME ACCROSS!! IN SUMMARY: - they charge you in Euro's at inflated exchange rates which constitutes a total ripoff - Their website (if you can call it that) does not allow you to do what you want to do, but instead it jumps around to confuse you - They charge you for every little thing that you book, where for decades all airlines have charged you one price for everything! EDREAMS RIPOFF.......EDREAMS RIPOFF. They will never ever see me again, and my flights had better be guilt edged otherwise I will be writing another review of this ripoff organisation!!! On top of all of this, I invite anyone to try and find an email address where you can lodge complaints, etc. THEY ARE NOT INTERESTED IN YOU, THEY JUST WANT YOUR MONEY!!!
Why is it that, I consistently have airtime “******” by Vodacom. I’ll buy R50 worth of airtime, won’t use it for a week and when I do need it, it’s gone! This is a serious indictment to this giant’s integrity and honesty. It may appear a small issue, but it’s big in my life!
I purchased a Hisense washing machine from Game a short while ago. After installation the machine would only perform certain functions. I complained to Game management who eventually checked the machine out & handed the problem over to Hisense. Hisense took a day or two to analyse the situation, however thereafter replaced & installed the machine a day later. It was installed and sorted out immediately. Thank you & well done Hisense
Vodacom are a complete rip-off when it comes to prepaid airtime. Whenever I buy a month’s (I check the expiry date) airtime and don’t use as I don’t need to, within a week or so when I do want to make a call, I find the airtime is gone. This is nothing less than theft! Why do Vodacom ***** your airtime? It is nothing more than abject theft. I demand a response from them about airtime theft!!
The Greek Fisherman has to be the worst seafood restaurant I’ve been to for a long, long time. The service by a few foreign waiters was tardy and inefficient. We ordered four ordinary main courses of mid range pricing and Paid a bill of R1200 including tip. Not one of our four meals were worth commenting on positively and were really overpriced and undersized. Never to be visited again!
My worst experience at a Woolworths ever…….today 11 February, at the store in Northern Cape Mall, Kimberley. A tiny store that is clearly too small, and the inadequate staff woke up too late to realise that their tardiness prior to 11h30 caused a backlog and queue of customers that ran throughout the store, and in my case took me 35 minutes from when I joined the queue. When are Woolworths going to wake up & realise that saving money on inadequate, grumpy staff, and not having any noticeable management on site will eventually cost you money. I won’t return to the store ever, and you are down to one last chance for my business anywhere…….period. Wake up and get your acts together!!
I have a Rain device which is supposed to supply me with world class WiFi in my residence, which is a normal sized two bedroom flat. It is very erratic to say the least. In fact, often when the wind blows, it goes offline. I am now looking to get a permanent fibre connection, as opposed to the erratic Rain setup
I paid an amount of R304 000 for the balance of a motor vehicle’s costs in Mbabane, Eswatini (Swaziland). I used my Standard Bank (South Africa) credit card which had a balance of R320 000. This means that it was a debit card transaction utilising my credit card. Standard Bank charged me a fee for the transaction of R8379,36. I only have one word for this transaction and that is “******ion”. I could have paid the sum of money via a transfer via Internet Banking (current account), but I chose to use the credit card due to the ease of use. I am unable to understand or ever accept this complete ripoff!!
