I app**** for my clearance in May 2023 I received it on 30 August 2023 , it was a long process but thank you NDCsa
I was contacted on the 7th of Aungust 2020 saying I owe R479 on my TV license for 7 months of the year I had not a single reminder if the R265 tv license, suddenly in September the amount has increased to R768.50, for a R265 TV license, when I had contacted Revco saying this is not fair and I will have to take it to court they replied saying " GOODLUCK"....I CANNOT AFFORD R768.50 for tv license my address has changed over the years and no one has called to inform me of the R265 fee which is apparently overdue for 2020.

I had visited midlands medical centre and private hospital in January to make a down payment towards the delivery of my new baby,I had done the same in 2015 for my first delivery which was a pleasant experience, however it seems that 2017 is NOT the same. I had just completed my gynae check up in the same hospital and decided to make my way down to pre-admissions to make my down-payment, I stood at the reception for more than 5 mins before I was even acknowledged by the receptionist who was to "busy".

With no smile on her face she asked "can I help" I enquired about making a down-payment,ridley she replied " no we do not do this anymore,u need to go back ,get a letter from your gynae, then see a nurse from maternity, come back with letters from both sides then only can I open a file" I did explain that I am an existing customer as I had my last baby there and did not have to do this, while talking to her she cut me off saying things have changed since two years back. How sad is it to think we are willing to pay cash in advance for private treatment yet the staff of midlands feel they are doing us a favour like a government hospital.

I eventually got through to a manager in February and made a down payment, on the 19th of April I had gone into early labour I did not expect this as my due date was still 3 weeks away,I arrived at the hospitaland notified my husband who was of town on training to please leave and meet me,when he arrived the nurse advised hI'm to collect my file, again the admin lady on duty was extremely rude she said to him in an abrupt manner that we could not continue without the full outstanding payment,no bank was open to withdraw such a large amount and half the payment had been made my husband advised her that we will make payment the very next morning ,she did not care that I was in labour waiting for him at maternity.

After 9 and a half hours my baby was born at 2 30 am on Tuesday morning , post delivery I was moved into a "boarder mother" room ,exhausted and wanting a shower my heart shattered ,firstly the room door could not close ,there was just a curtain drawn to close my room, the room floors had not been cleaned, and to my complete horror the sanitary bin had not been cleaned, the hand sanitizer was empty , I had no sleep all night I felt as though I was just thrown no one came to check on me ,upon pressing the buzzer 4 a nurse a security guard came through to tell me someone will come through. In my state of pain of could not rest due tho the door that could not close and I was placed in a room right outside theatre which was constantly busy. Ithe felt like hours of torture I could not wait to leave . I had asked for my doctor to discharge me finally at 2pm I was discharged when I recieved my baby while waiting for my husband I noticed her nappy had not been changed from maternity she was just handed to me she looked sore and uncomfortable.

My experience at midlands was extremely heart breaking I paid for a private service but had no service,in my opinion there is no passion by the staff for their jobs,it seems like they are just there to get paid ,the patient doesn't matter , I had always rendered all my cash paying friends to midlands but after this experience even two of my colleagues have changed their mind. I will never recommend this hospital to any one ever again .

I did not even stay the night yet my package included a night stay. I pray to God I neverror have to go back or that no one else has to go through this experience especially after a traumatic birth.

I did not feel like paying the balance as I feel totally robbed of any kind of private care.

Midlands medical centre needs serious customer service s****s sadly a few nurses and an admin lady who did try to help have to be classified under the rest....
