I recently (November 2018) had a papsmear done by Dr. Van Der Westhuizen at his rooms in The Clinton Clinic and the results came back with a high cell count. He then did a Colposcopy and sent it for further testing. Results came back and he suggested a histerectomy a.s.a.p. I wanted to wait untill after the holiday season as we allready planned to go away with the family and didnt want to sit around for 6-8 weeks recovering. I spoke to other women about histerectomies and they all told me to get a second opinion. So I phoned his rooms requesting the lab results to further my own research on what to do and to give it to the Dr. I had chosen to get my second opinion on. The receptionist said he told her to tell me to get it from Ampath directly. I phoned them and they said they cant without the Dr.'s concent. I phoned the rooms again furious as they are well aware of the fact that the labs won't give me the results. Dr. Van Der Westhuizen refuses to give me my test results because I want to get a second opinion. I lashed out on the receptionist because she just didn't care and I cannot believe that my basic human rights are being violated because a Dr. doesn't like the fact that I am asking questions. It is my body, my decision to get a second opinion before someone just operates on me and for him to refuse to give me a copy of my lab results is borderline insane!!! I pay my medical aid which in turn pays for those tests and I see no reasobale reason why hy has any right to withold that information from me!
I have tried to get a quote from Xco Sport on netbal dresses for my daughter's two teams for days. I went on their "dedign online" to create a design I liked and mailed them the designs for quotations. Eventually I got emails from them to show me my designs which I assume is an automated responce system. No quote, no follow up and no calls. So I called them thid morning to speak to someone myself. Christel who works in my area of business told me she would find my requests and get back to me .... by the afternoon no call no feedback. So I called once again. She denied talking to me first in a very unprofessional way and once I explained she remembered. I asked her to whatsapp me from her phone so I could send her my design directly and at 16:42 I am still waiting??? The service is so bad that I dont even want to waste my time any further. They have no sence of urgency or professionalism at all! I as very dissapointed as I thought they might be the first company to contact but I guess my business no matter how small it might be is too insignificant to give any attention to. I will take it elsewhere to a company who prides themselves in serving any customer no matter how small the order may be ...

I have always dreamed of owning a Mercedes and this year my dream came true. I was fortunate to be able to purchase a brand new 2017 A200 petrol AMG kit white beauty.

As on todays date it has only done 3600 km thus far and I have come to the realization that it is a bit too small for me and my family and would like to trade it for a bigger vehicle even if it had to be pre-owned. I took it to Cargo Motors in Alberton for an evaluation and according to the Sales guy it was in perfect condition as it is practically new.

When I received trade price on it I was shocked to find out how much it has dropped in price in just a few months? My purchase price was almost R506 000 after an approximate R27 000 discount off the purchase price. With only 3600 odd kilometers on the clock and 6 months down the road I am only able to get max R390 000 for that car! It is insane and I do not understand why cars depreciate so much!

So my question is ... Is it all that? Is a Mercedes Benz worth all that? My answer is no! Buy something cheaper because the value drops no matter what you buy. Don't ever fall for " this car will definatelt keep its value" .... I feel sick to my stomach because no one in their righr minds will accept that little for a car they bought just the other day .....

This is what I got from the person who sold me my car:

Autoport: Manager Offer Of R 390 000 Made On MERCEDES-BENZ A-CLASS A 200 AMG A/T '15 - current.
View vehicle:

Hi gizelle, hierdie is wat ek van gary my second hand manager af gekry het. Jammer ek kan nie oproep gevat het nie, net besig met delivery.

Also:

Hi, alle nuwe karre verloor by die 20% in hulle eerste jaar. Dis hoekom almal hulle karre eers oor 3 jaar inruil, want die waarde stabiliseer dan en dis wa hy sy waarde hou.

To me that answer doesn't justify why it loses value. I can't wait 3 years for it to magically stabilize so I can now trade it and then get another R100 000 less which would make it almost impossible for me to purchase a bigger Mercedes with a bigger deposit that was supposed to come off this car as trade in .... Maybe I'm clueless but one thing is for sure. An investigation should be done in the automotive industry to see why trade pricess are so low and why re-sale on the same car is on such a high profit margin. We as clients are the ones paying the high price and losing huge amounts!
