AFTER RECEIVING A CREDIT NOTE FROM ESKOM FOR R1000.00 PAID INTO THEIR ACCOUNT ERRONEOUSLY, MANY REQUESTS TO ESKOM FOR THEIR REFUND ARE SIMPLY IGNORED WITHOUT RECEIVING THEIR RESPONSE. ANOTHER MESSAGE WITH ATTACHMENTS SENT TO ESKOM TODAY AT 16:10 FROM mhpeterson@worldonline.co.za -- OUR ACCOUNT NO. 8875229085.
BEWARE WHEN PURCHASING 'DPE' DUTTON PLASTICS 'HIGH TRAFFIC' TOILET SEATS BELIEVING THESE TO BE RESILIENT AND LONG LASTING. TWO SEAT LIDS CRACKED WITH A 'LOAD BANG' DURING THE NIGHT FOR NO APPARENT REASON- HARDLY USED IN SPARE BATHROOMS ! DPE COULD FIND NO FAULTS/FLAWS IN TESTING THE BROKEN LIDS ? NO COMPENSATION OR CREDITS OFFERED OR RECEIVED. BAD DESIGN THE ONLY CONCLUSION. STICK TO HIGH QUALITY WOODEN SEATS RATHER THAN THIS PRODUCT.
In September 2017, a caller from Afrizon phoned, claiming to be Vodacom, stating that we were being given 2 additional phones, FREE, being such good customers, plus 2 'Homemark' gift vouchers. I told him we hardly used our existing phones on a low-cost plan and did not need more phones, hardly great customers, and happy as we are to continue without any changes, month to month, our Contract having expired. He emphasised no cost implications but FREE GIFTS which would serve as 'spares'. (This is all supposedly recorded ??) The phones were delivered by RAM, never opened or used. Days later on checking our airtime balances on line, discovered 2 additional numbers had been added to our Account !! He also advised that our existing account dues would be reduced to R.207.00/month from R.216.98/month. This did not happen, instead our account has been fraudulently debited with Initial costs, followed by monthly debits for the 2 'GIFTS'. After many hours and numerous e-mails to Vodacom, I received acknowledgements but NO ACTION is taken. Then sent all messages 'sent' to FraudDisputes as requested, the result being the same - NO ACTION , NO CREDITS FOR ALL FRAUDELENT AMOUNTS DEBITED. Quite a process to set up a contract with signatures, ID's, FICA etc. yet they can simply add and charge what they wish, without ANY OF THESE FORMALITIES. I obtained their 'FraudDispute tel no's but get the message 'Mailbox is full' (no wonder) and 'Goodbye' VODACOM SERVICE AT ITS BEST -----MIGHT BE FORTUNATE TO GET SOME RESPONSE
